Fertilizers play an important role in enhancing crop yield, plant growth, and the fertility of the soil. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture Teaching and Research Farm, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria to investigate the influence of inorganic fertilizer (urea) and organic manure (spent mushroom substrate and poultry manure) on the yield and growth parameters of three okra cultivars (Clemson Spineless, Perkins Long Pod, and a local assertion).

By reviewing worldwide literature, this paper aimed to systematically collate available information about the species Cunninghamia lanceolata. Based on the findings of the review, including the species’ floral characteristics; updated distribution; historical knowledge and heritage; growth and factors influencing its forests; soil nutrition and microbes; carbon storage; wood; and chemicals and essential oils, we have identified issues for consideration regarding the use of this species for big timber production in Vietnam.

This study aims to assess the effect of three plant growth regulators, naphthyl acetic acid (NAA), indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), and indole-3 butyric acid (IBA), on the root formation of Actinidia latifolia cuttings. At the same time, seed germination and the effect of different soil and coir mixtures on the growth of kiwifruit seedlings were tested in the nursery.

Water stress periods are common in rainfed agriculture therefore the activities aimed at conserving the rainwater should be adopted for improving the productivity of dryland crops. The major crops in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra are cotton, soybean and sorghum. It was observed that the drought situation may arise during crop growth period which may result in partial failure of crops. It was therefore felt worthwhile to adopt the proper methods of in-situ moisture conservation so as to partially meet out the adverse effect of water stress in standing crop.

This paper presents the experimental results of the effect of microorganism fertilizer (MF) on growth, yield and accumulation of Cu in lettuce grown on soil contaminated by Cu. The results show that applying MF on soil that has a Cu content of 17.03-106.4 ppm has a positive affect on the height, fresh weight, total chlorophyll content and catalase activity of lettuce grown on that soil.

Copper and zinc are also toxic to humans when high levels are ingested and an excess of copper and zinc interferes with plant growth. It is important to monitor copper and zinc content in soil to avoid marketing food products which contain dangerous amounts of these heavy metals. This article presents the results of a study done to determine the copper and zinc content of soil and four agricultural products grown in Tan Lap Co-operative, Dan Phuong District, Hanoi.

Environment degradation is the major threat confronting the world and rampant use of chemical fertilizer contribute largely to the deterioration of the environment. Soil fertility highly affected due to imbalance use of fertilizers that has deep impact on productivity and soil degradation. This study gives an idea to identification of effects of variable diet on growth and reproduction of Eisenia fetida which leads to enhancement of soil quality.

There are two plant phosphorus (P)-uptake pathways, namely the direct P uptake by roots and the indirect P uptake through arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). Maximizing the efficiency of root and AMF processes associated with P acquisition by adjusting soil conditions is important for simultaneously ensuring high yields and the efficient use of available P.

Microbial biomass formation on root surfaces can be measured in plants growing in solution with or without an inert solid support. Carbon flow to the biomass can be measured by growing plants in solution or soil on a continuous source of 14C02 and the expected biomass formation predicted. The lack of correlation between measured and predicted biomass can be explained by oligotrophic growth of the micro-organisms.

Biofertilisers are defined in this application as microbial inoculants, isolated from soil or the rhizosphere of plants, assisting the mobilisation of soil nutrients such as N and P and others in the plant rhizosphere and thus promoting the growth rate and yield of plants. Successful biofertilisers can contribute to increases in food production in a highly sustainable manner, with economic and environmental advantages.

Grows fast, high-speed growth in the first few years. Song on a place if planted several consecutive cycles can lead to poor potassium and magnesium in the soil. Pit wood, pulp (wrapping paper), chipboard and wood stem as well due to the high heat of coal. In silvicultural crops used as the supporting soil improvement, shade....
