Circulating total insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) is an established risk factor for prostate cancer. However, only a small proportion of circulating IGF-I is free or readily dissociable from IGF-binding proteins (its bioavailable form), and few studies have investigated the association of circulating free IGF-I with prostate cancer risk.

Resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) represents a major unmet medical need in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibition may reverse a suppressive microenvironment and recover sensitivity to subsequent ICIs.

The book is the first to focus on the subject of brand vision and go in depth about each stage of the process. It features exclusive research done by the brandgym as well as front-line experience from over 100 brand-visioning projects. The book explores a new approach in an unpublished area - using brand vision to bring together, inspire and energize teams. This hands-on guide will direct, with ease, the reader to examine ways that they, as practitioners, can drive growth from their own teams and brand.

In ebook "Developmental biology of neoplastic growth" tumour growth is perceived as a deviation from the normal development of the human organism. The molecular, cellular, and tissue determinants of different tumours are discussed showing that each is a different disease, often corresponding to a particular developmental stage. The natural history of several cancers illustrates how clinical incidence can be just the visible part of the iceberg, while the first changes at the tissue level sometimes occur several years before tumour growth becomes manifest.

This paper presents the first published selection of hybrid Melaleuca species which is experimented in Southern Vietnam. Among 126 inter-specific crossing Melaleuca combinations, 27 hybrids with trunk volume with bark exceeding by more than 20% in comparison with either of their best parents have been selected at the just young stage.

Chlorella vulgaris was autotrophically grown in a Flat-Plate Photobioreactor (FPPB) using batch (BC), fed-batch (FB), and repeated fed-batch (RPF) cultivations. BC stage was done in the 20 L of working volume. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Walne media (with various concentrations of composition) and cultural techniques on algal growth.

Pathological stage IB-IIIA lung adenocarcinoma with an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation (Mt) has a high recurrence rate even after complete resection. However, there have been few reports on the risk factors for Mt recurrence. This study aimed to analyze the clinicopathological factors related to the relapsefree survival (RFS) of patients with pathological stage IB-IIIA primary lung adenocarcinoma with and without an EGFR mutation.

Cholesterol and lipids play an important role in sustaining tumor growth and metastasis in a large variety of cancers. ANGPTL3 and PCSK9 modify circulating cholesterol levels, thus availability of lipids to peripheral cells. Little is known on the role, if any, of circulating lipid-related factors such as PCSK9, ANGPTL3 and lipoprotein (a) in cancers.

Thyroid cancer (THCA) has become increasingly common in recent decades, and women are three to four times more likely to develop it than men. Evidence shows that estrogen has a significant impact on THCA proliferation and growth. Nevertheless, the effects of estrogen-related genes (ERGs) on THCA stages, immunological infiltration, and treatment susceptibility have not been well explored.
