This article, we present a thorough and straightforward hydrothermal method towards the production of reduced graphene oxide templated MIL-53(Fe) hybrids RGO@MIL-53(Fe). The structural characteristics of created hybrids were identified by using BET, FESEM, powder X-ray diffraction, and FTIR techniques. Methylene blue (MB) dye (a model water pollutant) was used to evaluate H2O2-assisted photo-catalytic efficiency of RGO@MIL-53(Fe).

The aim of this study was to verify the effects of application of H2O2 on salt tolerance and oil production in basil cv. ‘Gennaro de Menta’ grown in a hydroponic system. Seedlings were subjected to 3 levels of H2O2 (0, 1, and 1000 μM) in a nutrient solution during 2 different exposure periods (24 and 48 h) and 2 levels of NaCl (0 and 80 mM). The plants were harvested at preflowering (at 15 days) and postflowering (at 25 days). At 25 days, the application of 1 μM H2O2 /48 h and its reapplication at preflowering increased leaf dry mass production compared to the other salt treatments.

Photocatalytic degradation of the herbicide quinclorac in water using Mn (III) salen and solar light
Quinclorac (QNC) is a widely used herbicide and is persistent in surface and ground waters. Its residuals and converted products are hazardous to aquatic animals, vegetation, and microbes, and it is therefore important to degrade QNC using an efficient and environmental friendly technology.

Hyptis suaveolens (L) poit commonly known as Vilayati tulsi, belongs to the family Lamiaceae. Production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes various diseases and cellular anomalies in human beings. Antioxidants inhibit generation of reactive species, or scavenge them, or raise the levels of endogenous antioxidant defenses. In this study the antioxidant activity of various extract of Hyptis suaveolens (L) poit leaves were evaluated using Total Antioxidant Activity Method, Nitric oxide radical scavenging activity, DPPH Scavenging method, H2O2 scavenging activity, Reducing power assay.

Salinity Stress is one of the most important abiotic stresses that cause adverse effects on crop productivity and agricultural sustainability. The present experiment was carried out as a pot-culture in the poly-house on pea genotype HUP-2 under salinity stress, and identified various biochemical attributes which were progressively reduced with increase in salinity level due to formation of reactive oxygen species i.e. hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and superoxide radical (O2 .- ).

A study was conducted to investigate the peroxidase activity of graviola at different stages of fruit development at Agricultural College & Research Institute, Killikulam-628 252, India during March 2017. Stages have been divided into eight for the total period of 96 days considering 12 days for each. Three replications with eight stages were tried in completely randomized design for Total protein and Peroxidase activity. Total Protein content of Graviola at different stages of Fruit development is found to be statistically significant.

In the dairy industry the stability of dairy proteins toward heat treatment is a major processing issue. Heat treatment of whey proteins to temperatures above 70°C causes denaturation, which in turn leads to protein aggregation. This can result in excessive thickening or gelling during processing of the dairy product and later, upon storage. Whey proteins (WPs) have distinctive nutritional and functional properties that make them unique food ingredients.

Carotenoid compounds are the popular natural antioxidants which are often isolated from plants. There have been more and more researches on carotenoid biosynthesis towards lowering product prices. In this study, in order to produce carotenoid, Rhodotorula mucilaginosa was grown on aqueous media composed of carbon source (glucose, glycerol), nitrogen source (yeast extract, (NH4)2SO4). The optimum nutrient concentration was 10g/L glucose, 10g/L glycerol, the ratio of yeast extract and (NH4)2SO4 (3:7).

This study investigated effect of initial pH and current intensity on both the amount of hydrogen peroxide production and the Glyphosate mineralization performance. The results indicated that at pH 3, the quantity of H2O2 production on cathode was highest (~0.15 mg/L), and the Glyphosate mineralization performance was optimum, approximately 60% at an electrolysis time of 50 min.

Mitochondrial functional and structural impairment and generation of oxidative stress have been implicated in aging, various diseases and chemotherapies. This study analyzed azidothymidine (AZT)-caused failures in mitochondrial functions, in redox regulation and activation of the HIV-1 gene expression. We monitored intracellular concentrations of ATP and glutathione (GSH) as the indicators of energy production and redox conditions, respectively, during the time-course experiments with U937 and MOLT4 human lymphoid cells in the presence of AZT (0.05 mgÆmL)1) or H2O2 (0.01 mM) for 15–25 days.

Glyoxal is a key compound involved in glyoxal oxidase (GLOX)-dependent production of glyoxylate, oxalate and H2O2 by lignin-degrading basidiomycetes. In this paper, we report that glyoxal was produced from a metabolite of ligninolytic fungi, linoleic acid, by manganese peroxidase (MnP)-dependent lipid peroxidation. In the absence of the parent substrate of linoleic acid, the dialdehyde was oxidized by MnP and Mn(III) chelate to start free radical reactions with emission of chemiluminescence at 700– 710 nm. ...

Three NADH oxidase encoding genesnoxA-1, noxB-1 andnoxCwere cloned from the genome ofArchaeoglobus fulgidus, expressed inEscherichia coli, and the gene products were purified and characterized. Expression ofnoxA-1and noxB-1resulted in active gene products of the expected size. ThenoxCgene was expressed as well but the protein pro-duced showed no activity in the standardNox assay. NoxA-1 and NoxB-1 are both FAD-containing enzymes with subunit molecular masses of 48 and 69 kDa, respectively.

The enzymatic nitration of tryptophan derivatives by oxi-dation of nitrite has been studied using lactoperoxidase and horseradish peroxidase, and compared with the chemical nitration produced by nitrogen dioxide and peroxynitrite. HPLC, mass spectra and NMR analysis of the mixture of products clearly show that nitrationoccurs at position 4-, 6-, 7-, andN 1 of the indole ring, and nitrosation at positionN 1 . Kinetic studies performed on peroxidase/NO2 – /H2O2 sys-tems showed substrate saturation behavior with all the tryptophan derivatives employed. ...

Obesity is a known risk factor for induction of myocardial infarction, but, paradoxically, may also confer a protective effect against subsequent remodeling leading to heart failure. In this study, we investigated the effect of leptin, the product of the obese (ob) gene, on cardiomyocyte apoptosis, a well-characterized component of cardiac remodeling after myocardial infarction.
