When the width of beam decreases from the fixed end to the free end, the natural frequencies of the AFG beam increase.

A novel frequency domain assurance criterion, called hereby Spectral Assurance Criterion (SAC), is proposed for frequency response analysis of cracked piezoelectric beam under moving load. First, a model of cracked beam bonded with a piezoelectric layer under moving harmonic load is conducted based on the double beam conception and then, analytical expressions of midspan beam deflection (mechanical response) and output charge produced in the piezoelectric layer (electric response) has been established in the frequency domain.

The electronic states of FeSin −/0/+ (n = 1-2) clusters have been investigated with DFT, CASPT2, and DMRGCASPT2 methods. By using relatively large active spaces, the DMRG-CASPT2 method is found to provide highly accurate relative energies for the various relevant electronic states. Leading configurations, bond distances, harmonic vibrational frequencies, and relative energies for the low-lying states of the title clusters are reported.

CFS measures the simultaneous thermal fluctuations of two closely-spaced atomic force microscopy (AFM) cantilevers. CFS then calculates the cross-correlation in the thermal fluctuations that gives the mechanical properties of the matter that spans the gap of the two cantilevers.

The aim of this paper is to propose a PWM technique with variable switching frequency to reduce switching loss in inverters. This paper presents a new continuous element model for studying the dynamic behavior of complex tubes composed by cylindrical shell, annular plate and conical shell which are widely used in automobile exhausts, sewer pipes and pipelines. This paper establishes the exact receptance function of a clamped-clamped beam carrying concentrated masses. The derivation of exact receptance and the numerical simulations are provided. The proposed receptance function can be used as a convenient tool for predicting the dynamic response at arbitrary point of the beam acted by a harmonic force applied at arbitrary point.

The paper shows that the response of the random Rayleigh system, which is under harmonic and random excitations, can be found by a system of algebraic equations. The analytical approach is based on the stochastic averaging method and equivalent linearization method in Cartesian coordinates so that the Fokker-Planck equation associated with the linear equations obtained can be solved exactly by the technique of auxiliary function. The harmonic excitation frequency is taken to be in the neighborhood of the system natural frequency.
