This paper evaluates an energy harvesting strategy for UAVs from sunlight and laser beams on cloudy days with a low-level cloud layer. The channel models and harvested powers for both cases are considered and analyzed using mathematical equations and simulation results.

This paper investigates the system performance of hybrid time-power switching based relaying (TPSR) energy harvesting enabled in the multisource half-duplex relaying network over the Rayleigh fading channel. The outage probability (OP) of the proposed system model with implementing maximal ratio combining (MRC) and selection combination (SC) technique at the receiver is presented and analyzed.

The objectives of this study were to identify promising rice genotypes and evaluate the genetic variance and effectiveness of selection of the rice varieties for several yield attributing traits. In this work, a new sulfated polysaccharide was isolated from green seaweed Caulerpa racemosa harvested at Nha Trang sea. The structure of obtained polysaccharide was determined and its cytotoxic activity was evaluated. The results showed that structure of the polysaccharide has a main chain of (1→4)-β-D-galactopyranose residues and branches are (1→3)-α-L-glucopyranose-2,4-disulfate residues linked to the main chain at C-6 position.

The aim of this thesis is investigate and design a small antenna which can be embedded onto a Polyethylene substrate (used for making roof tiles). The antenna can be used to harvest ambient energy by connecting it to a rectifier. Due to the dimensional constraints of a roof tile as well as the materials used, there are limitations imposed on the antenna size, and thus the radiation efficiency and bandwidth often become a limiting factor in the overall performance of the system.
