Health care quality

Prostate cancer (PC) with bone metastasis has many clinical symptoms that very much affected to the patient’s quality of life (QoL). Improving cancer patient’s QoL is a mission for the health care professional workers. The study using questionaires SF-36 and UCLA-PCI-SF- a simple and common methods to evaluate the progress of orchiectomy treatment for bone metastases PC to assess the QoL and prostate-specific functions before and after orchiectomy.

Quality of hospital care has been an increasing concern in Vietnam, especially in the overloaded situation at public hospitals in the whole country. Identifying related factors that influence the quality of hospital care is a critical work to improve the hospital performance and patient satisfaction. SERVPERF scale has been considered as a superior instrument for evaluating service quality, including in health care sector.

The dissertation has summarized the theoretical and practical basis of the quality of health care services by health insurance. In addition to the traditional factors that constitute the quality of health care service by health insurance, approached from the patient's side according to the SERVPERF model, include Reliability; Responsiveness; Assurance; Empathy; Tangibles.
