High performance liquid chromatographic determination

The combination of hydrochlorothiazide (HCT), amlodipine besylate (AML) and olmesartan medoxomil (OLM) is highly effective in treating hypertension. Currently, Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia V and other reference pharmacopoeias do not have a procedure for the simultaneous quantification of these three ingredients. To develop and validate a procedure for simultaneous determination of HCT, AML and OLM in tablets by HPLC method.

The study "Quantification of vildagliptin in tablets using high liquid-performance chromatography" aimed to establish a fast, simple and economical determination procedure for vildagliptin content in tablets by reverse phase high-performance liquid chromatography (Rp-HPLC). The aim of this study was the determination of chromatographic profiles of major whey proteins (WP): α-lactalbumin (α-La), β-lactoglobulin A and B, (β-Lg A and B), bovine serum albumin (BSA) in dairy beverages based on Zonar milk serum. The studied WP were separated by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on Aeris XB-C18 column using gradient elution with 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in water and 0.1% TFA in 80% acetonitrile, at 214 nm detection.

In this work, an ultrasonic-assisted surfactant/ionic liquid aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) extraction method was developed to extract six tetracycline antibiotics from food samples before their chromatographic determination using high performance liquid chromatography. The ATPS was formed with 1-allyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bromide, Triton X-100, and dipotassium hydrogen phosphate. The parameters including type and amount of surfactant, ionic liquid and salt, pH of sample solution, and sonication time were optimized.

In this work, ratio spectra of the first derivative spectrophotometric and liquid chromatographic methods have been described for the first time for the simultaneous determination of perindopril (PER), indapamide (IND), and amlodipine (AML) in dosage forms. For chromatographic separations several mobile phase compositions were tested for efficient separation with the use of a new column technology related to superficially porous particles. Optimum chromatographic separation was achieved using a Kinetex C18 column (150 × 4.6 mm I.D. 5 µm) at a flow rate of 1.5 mL min−1 .

A simple and inexpensive method was developed using liquid - liquid extraction, together with high performance chromatographic method for determination of methoxyfenozide residues in grapes. The evaluated parameters include the extracts by distilled water and acetonitrile solvents. The method was validated using grapes samples spiked with methoxyfenozide at different fortification levels (0.05, 0.1 and 0.5 µg/g). A Reverse phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method (RP-HPLC) for the simultaneous determination of tetracycline, Oxytetracycline and chlortetracycline residues in milk has been developed.
