The study sampled 899 individuals, including officers, students, and teachers. Solid waste was classified into five primary categories and established three subcategories for plastic waste.

The research drew its data from 24 test papers submitted by teachers from three provinces in Vietnam. The findings revealed that a number of test items violated the principles, having unclear testing purposes or having more than correct answers while no needless redundancies in the stems and distractors were recorded. Implications of the study are categorized into three main types, which consist of theoretical, practical and policy implications. It is highly recommended that future studies can be conducted to investigate students’ perceptions of ATL to compare with teachers’ perceptions.
