  • The study was conducted in four villages of Jhajjar and Hisar districts of Haryana state purposively. A batch of enthusiastic and willing to participate 25-30 rural women were selected. Satisfaction level of training was measured in term of subject matter covered in the specific training, physical facilities provided during the training and quality of trainer.   • The major diseases affecting chilli productions are Anthracnose, Phytopthora, Leaf blight, Fusarium wilt, bacterial wilt, damping-off and root rot etc. Among these, Fusarium wilt caused by the Fusarium oxysporum has emerged as a serious problem in recent year. In this investigation, to study the mycorrhizal population dynamics and wilt intensity in chilli growing areas of state, the survey was undertaken during crop season 2017-18 in Hisar, Fatehabad and Mohindergarh districts.

  • A study in Hisar district of Haryana was conducted during 2014-15 to assess the impact of scientific dairy farming training on knowledge level of dairy farmers about management practices on randomly selected 60 participant and 60 non-participant respondents. Data were collected through personal interview with the help of pretested structured interview schedule from two villages during 2014-15. The study reveals that majority (53.33%) of participant and non-participant dairy farmers had medium level of knowledge about management practices of scientific dairy husbandry practices.

  • The study was conducted in rural and urban area of Hisar district. Four Government Senior Secondary Schools, two from rural area and two from Hisar city were selected at random. Total sample constituted of 240 adolescents in the age group of 16-18 years, 120 from rural area and 120 from urban area, representing both the sexes in equal number. Selfprepared interview schedule was used to collect information on personal and socioeconomic variables. Family environment was assessed by Family Environment Scale (FES) by Bhatia and Chadha (1993).

  • The study was conducted in Hisar district of Haryana state where two Government Senior Secondary Schools from rural area and three from urban area were selected. Self-prepared questionnaire was used to delineate parental education and Social Intelligence Scale (SIS) by Chadha and Ganesan (2004) was used for assessing social intelligence.   • This study was conducted to examine the emission of aerosols during different agricultural operation like mulching, ploughing etc. Grimm aerosol spectrometer (11-R LAS) was used to measure the emission levels in terms of respirable, thoracic, alveolic and particulate matter concentration (PM10, PM2.5) on an experimental farm at Dabbda village in Hisar district of Haryana. Taub.] plant which was collected from 10 different villages of three districts (Bhiwani, Hisar, and Mahendergarh) of Haryana state.   • An experiment on “Evaluation of factors affecting modulus of rupture as an index of crusting in soils of Haryana” was carried out during 2016-17 at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana. The soil samples were collected from 21 locations from farmers’ fields in from 0-5 and 5-15 cm depths from different districts of the Haryana having wide range of texture ranging from sand to silty clay loam. The effect of different physico-chemical properties of these texturally different soils was evaluated on their modulus of rupture (MOR) values.

  • Menopause is one of the stages of life for women that cause extensive variety of symptoms, effects, and sometimes restraints on the quality of life of post menopausal women. The present study was designed to assess the physical and psychological changes experienced by Postmenopausal women of urban and rural area of Hisar district Haryana instantly after menopause. The study included 200 women (100 urban and 100 rural) in the age group of 45 to 60 years having natural menopause more than one year. All the subjects were permanent residents of the Haryana.

From each district, three blocks were selected randomly. Further, three villages were selected from each block making a total of 18 villages.   • Present study was conducted with objective to explore the socio- personal, economic and psychological characteristics and information seeking behaviour of buffalo owners in Hisar and Jind district i.e. part of Murrah breeding tract of Haryana. Data was collected by interviewing 240 buffalo owners personally. Study revealed that majority of respondents were found in age group of 37-57 years, came from nuclear and small size family, medium family education status, small herd size, high risk orientation and medium economic motivation.
