In this study, the TiO2 passive layer was formed on a pure titanium substrate by simple oxidation in an aqueous solution of H2O2 35 wt.%. In order to determine the appropriate time for the oxidation of the pure titanium substrate, the corrosion rate of the metal in the solution of H2O2 was investigated. The electrochemical behaviour of the TiO2 passive layer on the Ti substrate was investigated in Hank’s solution at 37.5°C.

The inductive response of H2O2 scavenging enzymes was studied in leaves of twenty rice cultivars when the plants were exposed to elevated temperature 55 days after transplanting (DAT). High temperature stress preferentially enhance the activities of ascorbate peroxidase (APX) and non-specific oxidase (POX), catalase (CAT) activity decreased with continuous exposure to heat stress although it was higher than control upto 15 days of stress (DAS) treatment.

In this study, we prepared activated red mud by thermal and acid treatment method and applied it for adsorption of H2S in air. The red mud was activated under different temperatures (i.e., 200, 400, 600, and 800 oC for 4 h), types of acid (i.e., H2SO4 and HCl), and acid concentrations (i.e., 0.5, 1.5, and 2.5 M). The produced materials were then applied for H2S removal in air with concentration of 90 – 110 mg/m3 using a fix-bed adsorption column test.

Sixty one out of 200 isolates, isolated from chickpea rhizospheric soils, were found to be effective to control the mycelial proliferation of the test pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris, maximum being with Ps16b (45.7%) and Ps45 (87.3%) in dual culture plate and liquid broth assay. Growth inhibition of the phytopathogen was also recorded by diffusible and volatile antifungal metabolites produced by the isolates. All the isolates showed ammonia production, whereas only nine isolates were recorded for Hydrogen cyanide production.
