Graphene aerogel (GA) was synthesized by chemical reduction of graphene oxide (GO) using ethylene diamine as a reducing agent, which was then followed by a freeze-drying process. In this work, we produced GA by hydrothermal process followed by freeze-drying. The produced adsorbent was then deployed to study the TC adsorption process.

In this research, in an attempt to make use of the kaolin resources in Vietnam, we present a synthetic process of zeolite A via hydrothermal from kaolinite, together with the modification process of zeolite A using different metallic cations. The characteristics of the prepared zeolite LTAs such as chemical composition and crystalline structure, as well as their catalytic activity in the methanation reaction of carbon dioxide (CO2) to methane (CH4) were extensively investigated.

In this work, we present the recent study in the microwave absorption performances of the Cu0.5Ni0.5Fe2O4@polyaniline (CNF@PANI). This material has been synthesized by polymerization and hydrothermal reaction process. The PANI fiber structure with the whole cover of CNF nanoparticles could establish the improvement of microwave absorption performances.

A facile hydrothermal-aided process is demonstrated to prepare an analcime 3-dimensional (3D) network using recycled aluminum foil as an aluminum source without using an organic template. The prepared material was characterized by different techniques. An electrode/electrolyte interface with a 3D network structure allows for better contact and improves the kinetics of the charge transfer.

Nitrogen content in graphene influences application performance. Although many studies have been conducted on single-process nitrogen (N)-doping, dopant content is still quite low. First, graphene oxide (GO) was hydrothermally nitrogen-doped. This nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide (NrGO) was then subjected to secondary plasma treatment. Two nitrogen(N)-doping mechanisms were observed depending on graphene's oxygen functionalized.

In the study, the nanostructured V2O5 photocatalyst was prepared by a hydrothermal process followed by calcination with the addition of various surfactants to the precursor solution. The metal-organic framework MIL-100(Fe) was synthesized by the green process using the ultrasonic method and water. By using this approach, the energy consumption was reduced by 100 times compared to the hydrothermal method. The prepared MIL-100(Fe) was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and BET surface area measurements.

Optimization of the LiFePO4 cathode active material synthesis process in the hydrothermal method consists of many factors, including pH, carbon coating, particle size optimization, sintering and hydrothermal synthesis temperature. The main goal of this study is to determine the effect of particle size, pH and carbon coating on capacity and cycle performance. In this study, LiFePO4 cathode active materials were prepared at different pH (6.5 and 8.5) and temperature (160 and 180◦C) levels using the hydrothermal method.

Complete photodegradation of MG was successfully achieved with the aid of the nanocomposites. The optimum photocatalytic degradation conditions, irradiation time, irradiation power, and amount of catalyst were studied. Photocatalytic activity of the synthesized nanocomposites in terms of degradation of MG was compared with that of undoped TiO2 (synthesized by our team) and chitosan under normal conditions. It was concluded that the synthesized nanocomposites had better photocatalytic activity. The best result (100% degradation) was obtained with amount of nTC of 0.

A fluorescent probe based on silicon quantum dots (SiQDs) was developed for the selective and sensitive detection of oxytetracycline (OTC) via the inner filter effect (IFE). The water-soluble fluorescent SiQD was synthesized based on the reaction of 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) and sodium citrate as precursors by the one-pot hydrothermal process. The strong fluorescence emission of quantum dots (QDs) was obtained at 440 nm when excited at 350 nm and OTC had a broad absorption band between 200 and 400 nm.

Deep-sea hydrothermal vents are unique chemoautotrophic ecosystems with harsh conditions. Alvinocaris longirostris is one of the dominant crustacean species inhabiting in these extreme environments. It is significant to clarify mechanisms in their adaptation to the vents. Lysine acetylation has been known to play critical roles in the regulation of many cellular processes. However, its function in A. longirostris and even marine invertebrates remains elusive. Our study is the first, to our knowledge, to comprehensively investigate lysine acetylome in A. longirostris.

The optimized nanophosphors were used to visualize latent fingerprints through recognizing level I-III ridges by a reduced background hindrance and can be utilized for visualizing latent fingerprints on difficult substrate surfaces with superior sensitivity, high contrast and selectivity. Further, a furthermost possible stochastic process to make unclonable anti-counterfeiting tags using optimized nanophosphor was designed to reduce counterfeit products.
