Index of optimism

In this paper, we describe the application of CRO algorithm to search optimal parameters for PID controller because CRO combines both features of local and global searching techniques to increase the chance of finding global solution. The comparison of tuning PID controller by CRO and traditional Ziegler-Nichols method is also presented. The simulated results show the advantages of tuning PID using CRO compared to traditional methods in terms of performance indices and transient responses.

The paper introduces a new method for optimizing the placement of a Dynamic Voltage Restorer-DVR for voltage sag mitigation in distribution systems. The location of DVR is optimally selected on the basis of minimizing the system average RMS variation frequency index – SARFIX of the system of interest.

This dissertation addresses how the weather derivative hedges the corporate risk, how to price the indexed derivative as an exotic derivative instrument, and the implications of basis risk. These topics are summarized in an expanded uncertainty model. Under this framework, different hedging instruments for studying the optimal hedging portfolios are compared.

The present study was aimed at improving the extraction efficiency and quality of natural pineapple (Annanas comosus) juice. Pectinase Preparations, viz. Pectinex Ultra SP-L and Pectinex 3XL were applied for cayenne pineapples produced in §ong Giao corporation. The optimal conditions for Pectinex Ultra SP-L and Pectinex 3XL were selected. Pectinex Ultra SP-L increased the extraction rate by 19,9%. Pectinex 3XL increased T index of the natural pineapple juice. The scheme for its production was proposed....
