Kaolin sample

Kaolin sample (mixture of halloysite and kaolinite) from Thach Khoan, Phu Tho province was studied to remove Pb2+ ions from an aqueous solution. The SEM-EDS and TEM analysis showed that in the kaolin sample, tubular halloysite and plate kaolinite minerals coexist, similar to the results from previous studies.

The correct methodology of thrombelastography might be influenced by elapsing time. In our study we investigated kaolin activated citrated samples together with non-activated citrated samples in relation to the elapsed times of 0, 15 and 30 minutes to compare both methods and to find out if there is an impact of time on results of thrombelastography.

By using kaolin A Luoi (Thua Thien Hue province) and the necessary materials, the blue pigment with different shades in the cordierite lattice have been synthesized. The blue pigment will be enamelled with a transparent glaze on to ceramic tile and L*, a*, b* colour parameters of representative samples were measured with a colorimeter.
