The research aims to investigate factors that influence the popularity of Korean series in Thailand based on Thai people's views. The study explores 385 participants with different demographic and personal backgrounds regarding age, gender, and financial status regarding selected factors that could affect their interest in watching and spending money on Korean series.

The findings have indicated that script, music, cultural images have a correlation with Vietnamese viewers’ satisfaction with Korean dramas while actors do not affect the overall satisfaction. Based on the findings,the authors provide implications and offer suggestions to Vietnamese filmmakers on improving customer satisfaction, thereby contributing to the development of TV drama production in Vietnam.

The East Asia has an ancient history and has created many typical values that immortalized, though the vicissitudes of history. The Confucianism is one of these values. Crossing over the Chinese border, Confucianism arrived Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, which formed a Confucian cultural region. However, the Confucianism was selected and adapted to each culture where it penetrated. Thus, it created Vietnamese Confucianism, Korean Confucianism, and Japanese Confucianism.

In 2006 Korean shipbuilding companies got new orders of 19,585,000 CGT, which was the highest number since 2000. Moreover in the first half of 2007 Korean shipbuilders have received 51.3% more orders than that of a year ago. Strong demand for new vessels was expected to continue for the next few years at least, due to expanding world-wide seaborne trade, especially between China and USA, and increasing need of new ships to adapt new International Maritime Organization’s requirements.
