In this paper, we study the Lagrange multiplier method of the extrema of a multivariable function, from which we apply to solve problems of finding the maximum and minimum values of general math. Moreover, from the maximum value, the smallest value found, we can find a primary solution to the problem. In addition, we also create new math problems for secondary and high school students.

In the mechanisms and machines operating at high speeds, the elastic vibration of links is inevitable. In this paper the dynamic modeling and controller design for a flexible four-bar mechanism are studied. The fully coupled non-linear equations of motion are obtained by using the Lagrange’s equations with multipliers for constrained multibody systems. The resulting differential-algebraic equations are solved using numerical methods. A simple PD controller is designed to reduce the influence of the elastic link on the desired motion.

An Interior-point algorithm with a line-search globalization is proposed for solving the general nonlinear programming problem. At each iteration, the search direction is obtained as a resultant of two orthogonal vectors. They are obtained by solving two square linear systems. An upper-triangular linear system is solved to obtain the Lagrange multiplier vector. The three systems that must be solved each iteration are reduced systems obtained using the projected Hessian technique. This fits well for large-scale problems.

The maximum entropy principle has been earlier used to derive the Bose Einstein(B.E.), Fermi Dirac(F.D.) & Intermediate Statistics(I.S.) distribution of statistical mechanics. The central idea of these distributions is to predict the distribution of the microstates, which are the particle of the system, on the basis of the knowledge of some macroscopic data. The standard way to solve the static economic dispatch problem with transmission losses is the penalty factor method. The problem is solved iteratively by a Lagrange multiplier method or by dynamic programming, using values obtained at one iteration to compute penalty factors for the next until stability is attained. A new iterative method is proposed for the case where transmission losses are represented by a quadratic formula (i.e., by the traditional B-coefficients).

In the present paper the form of equations of motion is written in quasi-coordinates. These equations are solved with respect to quasi-accelerations, which allow to define the motion of a holonomic and nonholonomic systems by a closed set of algebraic - differential equations. The reaction forces of constraints imposed on the system under consideration are calculated by means of a simple algorithm.
