This study provides an assessment of the impact of increased temperature in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province based on surface temperature values extracted from thermal infrared Landsat image data during the period 2010-2021.

The main objective of this article is to propose refinements to the land policy and legal framework concerning the repurposing of protective and special-use forest land. A study collected input from 50 managers in two provinces(Quang Ninh and Lao Cai) to assess the appropriateness and direction of amendments to the land policy and laws on this matter.

This study utilized the GIS-based Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model to simulate the flow of Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin at two hydrological stations - Nong Son and Thanh My, during the calibration period (2004 - 2010) and the verification period (2011 - 2015). The evaluation results of both periods, as measured by the NSE and R2 indexes, were found to be above 0.75.

The amount of waste generated is increasing in both quantity and complexity, in line with the level of economic development, but the land area available for solid waste treatment is limited. Residents' attitudes and willingness to pay (WTP) regarding waste segregation at source and recycling were investigated in this study through a survey using questionnaires conducted in the Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province.

Land resources potential assessment is a valuable method for orienting land use planning in the world as well as in Vietnam. This study aimed to (1) assess land suitability and (2) orient the effective use of agricultural land in the study area. Results indicated that Ham Thuan Bac had 107 land mapping units (LMUs) with 11 main landuse types (LUTs) such as rice, cassava, vegetables, dragon fruit, and other trees. Agricultural land with high (S1) and moderate suitability (S2) for most LUTs was small; however, marginal (S3) and not suitability (N) lands were quite large.

Land assessment results provide the information on land types and natural conditions (land map units) so that we can evaluate the suitability of the land area for agricultural and non-agricultural use. Detailed assessment of impacts of more than 50 Farmer Field Schools (FFS) in 11 provinces through which over 2,000 farmers were trained from 2005 to 2006 has shown many beneficial effects.
