Lean development

This research aims to identify the rules of lean system application in the service industry. It also seeks to highlight the requirements of applying the lean production system on Al-Ahliyya Amman University to reduce costs. The research was conducted in the form of a case-study in Al-Ahliyya Amman University. Data was collected through discussions with some the officials in the university. Including the HR manager, the financial manager, the student affairs manager, and the student registration manager.

The average total daily energy expenditure is higher in obese than lean individuals when measured at stable weight. However, energy expenditure falls as weight is lost, due in part to loss of lean body mass and to decreased sympathetic nerve activity. When reduced to near-normal weight and maintained there for a while, (some) obese individuals have lower energy expenditure than (some) lean individuals. There is also a tendency for those who will develop obesity as infants or children to have lower resting energy expenditure rates than those who remain lean.

Toppling Falls Some patients maintain tone in antigravity muscles but fall over like a tree trunk, as if postural defenses had disengaged. There may be a consistent direction to such falls. The patient with cerebellar pathology may lean and topple over toward the side of the lesion. Patients with lesions of the vestibular system or its central pathways may experience lateral pulsion and toppling falls. Patients with progressive supranuclear palsy often fall over backwards. Falls of this nature occur in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease once postural instability has developed.
