The light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have emerged as a sustainable illumination solution in the lighting industry. However, the commercial LEDs suffer from low chromatic rendition performance. This work proposes a feasible approach to enhance the quality of commercial LED packages via regulating scattering factors.

Managing the color uniformity of WLEDs means controlling the size and concentration of ZnO. With the concentration of 10% ZnO, the lumen output of LEDs reaches the highest values. Meanwhile, when the concentration and size of ZnO are 14% and 500 nm respectively, ∆CCT is reduced to the lowest value. Based on the manufacturers' requirements, the most appropriate ZnO concentration and particle size can be determined. However, if requirements include both lumen and color uniformity, the right choice is 14% concentration with 500 nm particle size of ZnO.

This paper applies a four-stage data envelopment analysis (DEA) approach proposed by Fried et al. (1999) to measure the operational environment-adjusted efficiency of sixty mutual funds in Taiwan from 2006 to 2010. We adopt the approach for adjusting negative output as suggested by Lovell and Pastor (1995). In addition, the truncated regression model is used to estimate effects of environmental variables on input slacks in the second stage. The efficiency of funds initially lightly declined, rapidly rose during the financial crisis of 2008, and then gradually fell again.

A solar photovoltaic insect light trap was developed consisted of 10 Wp SPV panel, 12 V; 7 Ah lead acid battery, charge controller, dusk to down electrical circuit and adjustable stand. As per design calculations the trap was fabricated in the workshop. The performance of solar photovoltaic insect light trap was taken in the farmer’s cotton crop field Vazegaon, Dist. Economic reforms implemented since the formation of the GPA have borne positive results for the economy. Real GDP grew by about 6% in 2009 and is estimated to have risen strongly to about 9.0% in 2010, reflecting strong performances in mining (47% growth) due to rising mineral and metal prices and higher agricultural output arising from higher output of tobacco, sugar, maize and cotton. Increases in agricultural output (34% growth) have historically supported manufacturing sector production (Box 1).

Countries may also find that their education and health outcomes are low in relation to the available intermediate outputs—in this paper this is referred to as system inefficiency. See Appendix I for more details on these concepts. For the most part, the relatively low average spending efficiency in G7 countries seems to reflect issues of cost effectiveness, at least in tertiary education and health.
