The paper samples were extracted with ethanol/water (1 : 1, v/v) mixture at 70°C for 2 h by using an incubator shaker. The extracts were passed through 0.2 μm filters before LC-MS/MS analysis. The method detection limit and method quantification limit of both PFOA and PFOS were 0.1 and 0.3 ng/g, respectively.

The purpose of this study is to determine the content of adulterated protein enhancers, ammelide (AMD) and dicyandiamide (DCD), in animal feed according to the sample preparation process including the cleaning process by solid phase extraction (SPE) and quantification by HPLC-MS/MS. Method limit detection and quantitation values for both AMD and DCD were of 5 and 10 ppb, respectively.

A new capillary electrophoresis method was developed for the simultaneous determination of dexpanthenol (DEX), lidocaine (LID), and mepyramine (MEP) in pharmaceutical preparations. The best results were obtained using 20 mM (pH 3.0) phosphate buffer as the background electrolyte. Separation was obtained using a fused-silica capillary (75 µm internal diameter, 50 cm total length, 41 cm effective length) and a potential of +30 kV at 20 ◦ C. Standards and samples were injected using a pressure injection at 50 mbar for 5 s and the analytes were monitored at a detection wavelength of 200 nm.

In the present work, a simple automated microplate method based on cupric ion reduction is described for determining total reducing sugars in food extracts and synthetic serum. The reaction of Cu(II)-Nc (cupric-neocuproine) with reducing sugars was performed in alkaline medium in microplates, and the absorbance of the formed highly colored Cu(I)-Nc chelate in a plate reader at 450 nm was recorded. The proposed method was applied to reducing sugars (glucose, fructose, galactose, maltose, and lactose) and their linear calibration curves were constructed.

Phenmedipham is an herbicide used especially in the sugar beet harvest to fight against broad-leaved weeds and studies of its voltammetric behavior and detection have not been done before. The superior properties of carbon nanotubes such as electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and wide potential ranges make them attractive for chemical sensors and the phenmedipham compound gave an oxidation peak at +1320 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl) on the nanostructured multiwalled carbon nanotube paste electrode.

A simple and reliable HPLC method was developed and validated for determination of rofecoxib in bovine serum albumin microsphere. The analyses were performed on a C18 column (150 x 4.6 mm, 5 µm particle size) at room temperature with UV detection at 272 nm. The mobile phase was composed of acetonitrile-0.1% o-phosphoric acid solution in water (1:1, v/v) mixture, and flow rate was set to 1 mL/min. The method was validated according to the international guidelines with respect to stability, linearity range, limit of quantitation and detection, precision, accuracy, specificity, and robustness.

The presented work demonstrates the preparation of copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) via aqueous leaves extract of Ziziphus mauritiana L. (Zm) using hydrazine as a reducing agent. Various parameters such as volume of extract, concentration of hydrazine hydrate, concentration of copper chloride, and pH of the solution were optimized to obtain Ziziphus mauritiana L. leaves extract derived copper nanoparticles (Zm-CuNPs).

: In this study, quantative nuclear magnetic resonance (qNMR) method was used to determine the content of rosuvastatin in tablet. Linearity, range, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), accuracy, and precision were determined in validation study of rosuvastatin. Furthermore, validation study of rosuvastatin was performed with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Uncertainties of qNMR and HPLC methods were determined using per EURACHEM/CITAC Guide CG 4 (3th edition), quantifying uncertainty in analytical measurement.

A new technique for sensing Ga(III) concentration based on polyvinyl alcohol-citrate capped gold nanoparticle–p-aminohippuric acid hybrid (or three-layer core-shell configurations) has been demonstrated. The p-aminohippuric acid capped citrate-gold nanoparticles were comfortably agglomerated in the presence of Ga(III), and the color of the reaction quickly turned from red to violet or blue. Under the detection conditions, a good linear relationship was ideally obtained between the ratio of the absorbance intensity at 620 nm to that at 520 nm (A620/A520).

This research work is focused on the cloud point extraction (CPE) procedure for the preconcentration of rifampicin prior to its determination in water. The UV/vis spectrophotometric method was adapted for the measurement of rifampicin content after the phase separation. Triton-X 100 was used as the nonionic surfactant which contains hydrophilic polyethylene chain feasible for the extraction of analyte. Various analytical parameters that can affect the extraction efficacy were optimized to achieve linearity of the proposed method in the concentration range of 3.54–81.41 mgL–1.
