Linear chaos

This paper proposes using a non-linear system to generate chaos-based coefficient sequences applied in the sensor nodes of a landslide warning system. The experimental study demonstrated that the sensor node utilizing pseudo-random sampling is faster and less complex in comparison to the sensor node employing random sampling.

In this paper, the shunted nonlinear resistive-capacitiveinductance junction (RCLSJ) model of Josephson Junction is considered due to potential high-frequency applications. This junction shows the chaotic behaviors under some parameter conditions. Because the chaotic motion is undesirable, the chaos control in Josephson Junction is discussed in this paper.

The study uses autoregressive fractionally integrated moving average – fractionally integrated generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (ARFIMA-FIGARCH) models and chaos effects to determine nonlinearity properties present on currency ETN returns. The results find that the volatilities of currency ETNs have long-memory, non-stationarity and non-invertibility properties. These findings make the research conclude that mean reversion is a possibility and that the efficient market hypothesis of Fama (1970) became ungrounded on these investment instruments.

We study frequent hypercyclicity in the case of weighted backward shift operators acting on locally convex spaces of real analytic functions. We obtain certain conditions on frequent hypercyclicity and linear chaoticity of these operators using dynamical transference principles and the frequent hypercyclicity criterion.

In this paper, we give two examples to show that an invertible mapping being Li–Yorke chaotic does not imply its inverse being Li–Yorke chaotic, in which one is an invertible bounded linear operator on an infinite dimensional Hilbert space and the other is a homeomorphism on the unit open disk.
