This study examined the current situation of the Serbian Orthodox Church both in its Australian and transnational contexts since the Serbian Orthodox Church functions as transnational network with churches linked globally. The research strategy was a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. This included a case study approach which focused in four parishes in Australia, including interviews which involved forty six participants affiliated to Serbian Orthodoxy and four Serbian Orthodox priests who were individually interviewed.

In this thesis, focus on the wireless links between devices equipped by deployed operating personnel and intermediary access point infrastructure. We use multi-radio (MR) platforms, wireless devices with multiple and diverse transceiver technologies, to produce robust and reliable links through adaptive control of available transceivers. Primarily, we study the application of intelligent control techniques, namely reinforcement learning (RL), for adaptive control over diverse transceivers to achieve the desired robustness and reliability under dynamic environmental conditions.

In this thesis, the limitations of using existing LTE congestion mitigation mechanisms such as Discard Timer and RED have been explored. A different mechanism to analyse the effects of using control theory for congestion mitigation has been developed. Finally, congestion mitigation in LTE networks has been addresses using radio resource allocation techniques with non-cooperative game theory being an underlying mathematical framework.

Chapter summary: Bridges selectively relay packets between network segments, depending on their data-link layer destination addresses; bridges maintain a single broadcast domain and create separate collision domains; switches improve on the function of bridges by forwarding packets only to their destination systems;...and other contents.

Proteins participate in complex sets of interactions that represent the mech-anistic foundation for much of the physiology and function of the cell. These protein–protein interactions are organized into exquisitely complex networks. The architecture of protein–protein interaction networks was recently proposed to be scale-free, with most of the proteins having only one or two connections but with relatively fewer ‘hubs’ possessing tens, hundreds or more links.

Cellular functions are ultimately linked to metabolic fluxes brought about by thousands of chemical reactions and transport processes. The synthesisof theunderlying enzymes and membrane transporters causes the cell a certaineffort of energyandexternal resources.Considering that those cells should have had a selection advantage during natural evo-lution that enabled them to fulfil vital functions (such as growth, defence against toxic compounds, repair of DNA alterations, etc.)

The IMS supports several end-to-end QoS models (described in 3GPP TS 23.207 [13]). Terminals can use link-layer resource reservation protocols (e.g., PDP Context Activation), RSVP, or DiffServ codes directly. Networks can use DiffServ or RSVP. The most common model when cellular terminals are involved is to have terminals use link-layer protocols and to have the GGSN map link-layer resource reservation flows to DiffServ codes in the network. As mentioned in Chapter 8, the PCC (Policy and Charging Control) architecture includes QoS control.

Which two statements are true of EIGRP topology depth? (Choose two.) Topology depth should be limited to 15 routers. Redundant links and alternative paths can be used to reduce topology depth. Topology depth is the maximum hop count between any two EIGRP routers in the topology. Route summarization can reduce the convergence time in networks with large depth. Topology depth is the number of router hops necessary for traffic to reach from access layer to core layer. Topology depth refers to the total number of hops that information must travel to reach all EIGRP routers in the network....

It was in June 1980 that the world saw the birth of Cable News Network ( CNN ) – the world’s first 24 hour news channel, thereby heralding the new era of immediacy and linking the world to major events, no matter where they occurred. The tagline ‘It is always primetime somewhere’ best summed up the ambitions of the founder of this new cable network Ted Turner. The word immediacy may sound archaic and blasé in our WWW and Twitterized world but it needed great vision and courage in Ted Turner to think of launching a 24 – hour news channel at that time. The...

Containing Network Overload Network designers like think that their traffic models ideally stable, andthat their forecasts to are of future traffic will never be wrong. In real life, however, such assumptions are unwise, because any one of a number of problems may arise, resulting in network overload, and so congestion. The forecast may underestimate demand; there may be a short period of extraordinarily high pressure (for example at New Year, Christmas, or any public holiday, or following a natural disaster); or there may be a network link switch (exchange) failure. ...

Local Area Networks (LANs) We have seen how packet switching has contributed greatly to the efficiency and flexibility of ‘wide area’ data networks, involving a large number of devices spread at geographically diverse locations. Packet switching, however, is not so efficient for smaller scale networks, those limited to linking personal computerswithin an office building; that is the realm of an alternative type of packet-switched-like network called a local area network or LAN for short.
