This study focuses on social capital as an opportunity for community engagement in the management of methane gas (biogas) as renewable energy, which the Self Help Group carries out on the final disposal site in Supit Urang. Methane gas generated from well-managed sites can provide positive advantages that can be used as an energy source (specially for cooking) for the local community as a replacement for LPG. Community participation in biogas management from methane gasses may improve public welfare, particularly in landfill capture and distribution.

This research examines the impact of tourism and local residents support for development of tourism destination in the Cu Chi, Hochiminh City. The study conducts a survey by using a formal questionnaire with participation of 291 residents who are living in Cu Chi, five research hypotheses were proposed. The findings show that the economic impacts of tourism were most favorably behavioral control and socio-cultural factor.

We study the energy-loss function for lead in the framework of the time-dependent density functional theory, using the full-potential linearized augmented plane-wave plus local orbitals method. The ab initio calculations are performed in the adiabatic local density approximation. The comparison between the obtained energy-loss function for zero momentum transfer with those from reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy measurements and from first-principles calculations shows good agreement.

On the ground, this might mean the chance to share the benefits and profits from a communal district heating system. At the strategic level, every decision must aim to improve quality of life while also reducing the levels of pollution, water and energy use, and waste. Local authorities already have legislative powers to promote the well-being of their citizens, and yet these remain overwhelmingly under-used. Given the nature and timescales of climate change, there is no alternative to making hard decisions.

At the same time, by comparing over time, case studies document that well-executed investments can provide benefits. These accrue through four main channels, namely (i) social infrastructure, often supported by community development funds using land compensation; (ii) employment and jobs; (iii) access to markets and technology for local producers; and (iv) local or national tax revenue. In all cases, economic viability of investment is a necessary condition for positive social outcomes to materialize, including food security.
