English of High school curriculum is intended as a purposefully spiral ramp, which means students meet the same learning material three times with increasing difficulty during high school time. If students master this, it does not matter. Otherwise, it would be a big problem for them to continue their studies afterwards especially at university or at future work. I have chosen this topic in hope to help students be more confident in writing essays at medium levels and then towards more difficult levels.

In recent years, the Vietnamese government has produced a number of polices advocating the use of ICT in education, including blended learning, aligning this implementation with its goals to modernise. While there has been considerable research around blended learning in higher education in the west, including in the USA, UK and Australia, research in Vietnam is relatively new.

This study examines teachers’ attitudes towards the correction of spoken errors through one-to-one interviews and a belief questionnaire. It also investigates the relationship between those standpoints and their teaching practice in classroom context and accordingly suggests more effective ways to deal with students’ spoken errors. For convenience, the two terms “error” and “mistake” are used interchangeably in this study.
