In this article, the authors present new models of protection that allow to simulate the overcurrent relay, instantaneous overcurrent relay and differential relay by using Matlab/Simulink. Initially, a methodology that presents how to build a library, including the different models and their communication architectures. Secondly, a case study in 220 kV transmission systems is selected as an example for fault simulation and relay testing for each relay model and the coordination protection.

This paper presents the sensorless direct torque control for PMSM, with motor speed is estimated using MRAS method. Matlab/simulink software is used to simulate sensorless DTC drive for PMSM. The simulation results have shown that: the estimated speed tracking real speed and reference speed with small error.

The aim of this paper is to use genetic algorithm to identify parameters of a nonlinear balancing system. In this case, single-linked inverted pendulum was chosen. With identified parameters of nonlinear model, a LQR controller was designed to prove that parameters were identified well. Results which were operated in Matlab/ Simulink environment showed that identifying process was good.

In this paper, the abilities of Sliding Mode Control are shown its abilities in both simulation and experiment results. On Matlab/Simulink simulation, Sliding Mode Control proves its advantages over LQR control. Then, experiments show the results of applying a sliding control for real model.

This article presents the development an auto adaptative voltage control integrated into the PV inverters. Facing the voltage sags, this control system allows the voltage at the connection point greater than an admissible voltage threshold of decoupling protection, the connection of PV system is so maintained. The models and simulations are developed in Matlab-Simulink. The obtained results are satisfied.

In this study, the proposed system, its control scheme and the power management were modelled in the MATLAB/Simulink environment, with simulations carried out to test their performance under dynamic loading conditions. Simulation results show that the proposed floating hybrid power system is capable of supplying dynamic loads without triggering blackouts.

This paper presents the process of modeling the mathematical model of a 3 degree of freedom (DOF) lower limb rehabilitation, including: kinematic and dynamic model, friction model and motor model. The simulation in MATLAB/Simulink is also carried out to show accuracy and suitability with the physical characteristics of the system model. This result is used to propose control strategies for robot in next studies.

This paper surveys the effect of velocity on the stability of tractors - semi trailers. Tractors - semi trailer is modelled and simulated using Matlab - Simulink software on the time domain in the cornering manuever. The results show that rollover of the trailer - semi trailer occurred when the forward velocity at the front and rear axle of the tractor reached 62.97km/h and 54.62km/h. and the velocity at the rear axle of semi trailer is 57.91km/h.

This paper introduces the building method of loosely coupled GPS/INS integrated navigation system. The Euler angles estimation and the velocity constraints are used to improve accuracy. We use MATLAB/Simulink software to simulate and analyze data. The experimental system is built on a low-cost IMU with tri-axis gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer and a GPS module to verify the model algorithm. The update rate of the integrated system is equal to the INS rate of 100 Hz and the rate of GPS is 10 Hz.

The LMS algorithm is known as a simple algorithm, which is fast computation time and the computation results are quite satisfying. In this study, the authors used Simulink software on Matlab. In general, this research is divided into three stages, namely modeling multipaths communication channels as an adaptive system, designing an adaptive system model on Simulink, and designing a simulation of 250 iterations.

Voltage sags can be symmetrical or unsymmetrical depending on the causes of the sag. At the present time, one of the most common procedures for mitigating voltage sags is by the use of dynamic voltage restorers (DVRs). By definition, a DVR is a controlled voltage source inserted between the network and a sensitive load through a booster transformer injecting voltage into the network in order to correct any disturbance affecting a sensitive load voltage. In this paper, modelling of DVR for voltage correction using MatLab software is presented.
