The study was carried out from December 2022 to May 2023 in Thonglor Bangkok Pet Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Total 208 cases visited the hospital, in which 32 cases of otitis and 53 dermatitis were recorded. Sterile cotton swabs were used to collect the aural samples from 32 cases, then observed under the microscope to detect the presence and population of Malassezia yeasts.

Theoretical methods for understanding advanced magnetic materials: The case of frustrated thin films
In this review, we show advanced theoretical methods and solved examples that help understand microscopic mechanisms leading to experimental observations in magnetic thin films. Attention is paid to the case of magnetically frustrated systems in which two or more magnetic interactions are present and competing.

A filamentous cyanobacterium Oscillatoria limosa was isolated from the Tri An Reservoir, and cultured in laboratory under controlled conditions. Microscopic observation was used for morphological identification. Microcystins (MCs) concentration was determined using Highperformance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

Micromorphological characteristics of 13 Trifolium species, which are grown in the province of Bolu, were examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The morphological characteristics determined from the study were subjected to morphometric analyses and their variation spectrums were defined. Tricolporate pollen grains showed two pollen shapes, prolate and subprolate, according to equatorial view. The smallest size of polar axis length (18.00 μm) was found in T. micranthum Viv. from section Chronosemium Ser.; the largest (88.95 μm) was found in T. hirtum All.

Harmful cyanobacterial blooms (HCB) have become a global threat to human health and aquatic biota around the world. While the ecotoxicity of microcystins (MC) producing cyanobacteria such as Microcystis spp. has been studied extensively, little is known about toxic effects of others filamentus cyanobacteria such as Anabaena spp. In this study, several strains of Anabaena sp. were isolated from Tri An Reservoir and cultured under laboratory conditions. Microscopic observation was used for morphological identification.

The spore shape of NIK-1Cc, NIK1Cpy, NIK-1Dp were oval and NIK-1Pr, NIK-1So were ovo-cylindrical. However the spores of standard strain Nosema bombycis was oval in shape also. The scanning electron microphotographs of all microsporidian including N. bombycis indicated that the surface of spores was smooth in texture.

A gas metal arc welding robot was used to build a thin-walled component made of mild steel on a low-carbon substrate according to the AM principle. Thereafter, the specimens for observing microstructures and mechanical properties were extracted from the built thin-walled component. The microstructures of the specimen were observed by an optical microscope; the hardness was measured by a digital microhardness tester, and the tensile tests were carried out on a tensile test machine.

Fungi are the one of the key components of ecosystems. Despite the fact that they are always present in all habitats on any substrates, it is not always possible to observe them directly in nature. This is due to their relatively poor knowledge, especially in tropical forest ecosystems.

In this paper, the continuous stiffness measurement (CSM) indentation is employed to investigate fatigue mechanical properties of structural steel under cyclic loading. For this purpose, several representative analytical approaches were introduced to estimate the basic mechanical properties including Young’s modulus and indentation hardness from the characteristics of the loading/unloading curves.

Powdery mildew caused by Golovinomyces cichoracearum (DC.) V.P. Heluta (formerly Erysiphe cichoracearum) is a common foliar disease on senescing leaves of cultivated sunflower in warmer regions of the world. In India, the powdery mildew disease is becoming major constraint in cultivation of sunflower crop especially during post rainy season. Screening of the sunflower germplasm lines against the disease would be of a great help to identify the resistance source.

In a cytotoxicity screen in serum-free medium, Guttiferone F showed strong growth inhibitory effect against prostate cancer cells. Methods: Prostate cancer cells LNCaP and PC3 were treated with Guttiferone F in serum depleted medium. Sub-G1 phase distributions were estimated with flow cytometry. Mitochondrial disruption was observed under confocal microscope using Mitotracker Red staining.

The experiment was conducted to investigate the embryonic development of discus (Symphysodon aequifasiatus) and determine the time required for major egg developmental stages and hatching. Regular observations were made using optical microscope and the images were recorded using a digital camera attached to the microscope. Important water quality parameters were kept optimal for the hatching of discus eggs.

The Groundnut bud necrosis virus (GBNV) induced symptoms such as bud necrosis, chlorotic and necrotic spots on leaves of tomato, chilli and brinjal were collected from field for mechanical inoculation on cow pea (var. C-152) as local lesion host. The electron microscopic observation of the purified preparation of diseased samples showed the presence of spherical, membrane bound particles (80-120 nm) of typical tospoviruses.

A 3-year-old buffalo with a history of 3 months old proliferative overgrowth in the left nostril occluding whole nostril was presented in Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex. There was laboured breathing; however, the clinical parameters were found within normal range. The growth was removed surgically and tissue was processed for cytology and histopathology. Grossly, the cut surface of the growth appeared “creamish white with multifocal pale yellow areas of calcification.” Impression smear revealed abundant neutrophils and macrophages engulfing bacteria.
