The obtained extract exhibited satisfying antioxidant activity with an inhibition percentage of 93.76±0.41 at a concentration of 300 µg/mL and IC50 of 83.64µg/mL by the DPPH method. The tested extract showed also a good antioxidant activity using β-carotene test. At resin concentration of 100 µg/mL antifungal tests showed, inhibition rates of 58.9%, 58.44%, 41.36% and 34.43% against T. tonsurans, T. equinum, T. rubrum and T. mentagrophytes respectively. Upon the obtained results, this extract can be used as external treatments for wounds to prevent oxidation and fungal infections.

In this study, biogenic copper and zinc oxide nanoparticles (G-ZnONPs and G-CuONPs) were synthesized by the green synthesis method using Malva parviflora L. (Millow) leaf extract and the obtained nanoparticles were characterized in detail with UVVis, FTIR, SEM, XRD. The antibacterial properties of the synthesized nanoparticles on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria were investigated and it was found that the nanoparticles had high antimicrobial activity in the results of the experiments.

This study reports the preparation of poly(sodium-4-styrene sulfonate) (PSS) treated bentonite and clinoptilolite to prevent the agglomeration and sedimentation of these inorganic fillers during the preparation of hydrogel. For this purpose PSS treated fillers were prepared by using various techniques (dip and dry, hydrothermal, one-step ball milling and ultrasonication methods). The most suitable technique for preparing these PSS treated inorganic fillers (abbreviated as BP-dip and CP-dip) was the dip and dry method.

NASICON-type electrolyte is one of the possible solid-state electrolytes to be employed in solid-state energy devices. The Li1xAlxSn2-xP3O12 NASICON-based solid electrolyte materials were fabricated using a mechanochemical milling method at 650oC for 8 h, where x is from 0 to 0.8. From the X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, the crystallographic phases of the parent material and the partial aluminium (Al) substituted one have been verified.

In this paper, the nano perovskite La1–xAxFeO3 sample systems (A = Y, Nd), with x = 0, 0.1, 0.3, were successfully fabricated. The doping of rare earth elements Y or Nd causes the perovskite structure to be distorted, leading to the appearance of a covalent mixed state that strongly affects the of the manufactured materials. The sample system shows the magnetic properties close to the superparamagnetic state at room temperature.

A new formulation of effervescent tablets containing microbial consortium was prepared for tomato with an objective to improve its survival and effectiveness. Three agriculturally beneficial microorganisms viz. Azotobacter chroococcum, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus megaterium were used in consortium. Tablets were prepared using wet granulation method using talc or compost as diluent. Effectiveness of these inoculants formulations was studied in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) in a greenhouse.

Laboratory experiments were carried out to study the effect of milling methods on the infestation of Sitophilus oryzae on stored rice grains during 2016-17. The results of the present investigation reveals that rubber milled rice were more preferred by the weevils than the iron milled rice with significant differences in weight loss existing among the various rice categories and the highest weight loss per cent was registered from SBA rice category (31.26±0.60 and 33.07±0.62) and the lowest from SMNA rice category (24.47±0.55 and 25.98±0.56) in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

An investigation was undertaken on fractionation of secondary metabolites from Ocimum sanctum and Aloe barbadensis Mill to check their antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger and Sclerotium rolfsii. Isolation of secondary metabolites was done by cold percolation and soxhlet extraction method with Methanol. Cold percolation method was found effective to get more phytochemicals. Distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) is co-product of the ethanol industry produced during dry milling process. Its availability is increasing due to higher demand for ethanol as biofuel. The DDGS is high energy and high protein feed. Distillers dried grain with soluble (DDGS) in poultry diet may be done for economic poultry production replacing costly protein ingredient soybean meal. Level of DDGS in poultry diet depends upon species and age of poultry birds, type of cereal involved in its production, method of drying after fermentation, level of fiber etc.
