We used this information to establish a model that combined deep learning with a multilayer neural network (the DeepSurv model) for predicting the survival rate of patients with rectal adenocarcinoma.

CO2 adsorption capacities of activated carbon-based adsorbents subjected to different treatments, such as HNO3 oxidation, air oxidation, alkali impregnation, and heat treatment under helium gas atmosphere, were determined by gravimetric analyses and reported previously by our group. In the current work, the experimental adsorption isotherms of these modified activated carbon samples were fitted to Langmuir, Freundlich, and Dubinin–Radushkevich (D-R) models.

Gene expression is a key intermediate level that genotypes lead to a particular trait. Gene expression is affected by various factors including genotypes of genetic variants. With an aim of delineating the genetic impact on gene expression, we build a deep auto-encoder model to assess how good genetic variants will contribute to gene expression changes. This new deep learning model is a regression-based predictive model based on the MultiLayer Perceptron and Stacked Denoising Auto-encoder (MLP-SAE).

Omics profiling is now a routine component of biomedical studies. In the analysis of omics data, clustering is an essential step and serves multiple purposes including for example revealing the unknown functionalities of omics units, assisting dimension reduction in outcome model building, and others. In the most recent omics studies, a prominent trend is to conduct multilayer profiling, which collects multiple types of genetic, genomic, epigenetic and other measurements on the same subjects. In the literature, clustering methods tailored to multilayer omics data are still limited.

Kết quả thử nghiệm cho thấy các mạng nơ ron là công cụ hiệu quả để phát hiện các cuộc tấn công DoS tuy nhiên mạng nơ ron CMAC hoạt động nổi trội hơn so với hai mạng còn lại với xác suất phát hiện các cuộc tấn công cao hơn và xác suất báo động sai thấp hơn. Đề xuất phương pháp mới để giảm số thuộc tính đặc trưng dựa trên việc kết hợp phương pháp Random forest và mạng MLP.

In this paper, we propose a multilayer neural network model for generating SpamAssassin rules which selects good features and optimize rule weights at the same time. The weighted rule set obtained from training this neural network can be applied directly in SpamAssassin. The experiments showed that our network is fast to train and the resulted rule set has comparable detection rates to previous rule generation methods.

In this paper, the authors propose a novel adaptive multilayer T-S fuzzy controller (AMTFC) with a optimize soft computing algorithm for a class of robust control uncertain nonlinear SISO systems. First, a new multilayer T-S fuzzy was created by combined multiple simple T-S fuzzy model with a sum function in the output. The multi-layer fuzzy model used in nonlinear identification has many advantages over conventional fuzzy models, but it cannot be created by the writer's experience or the trial and error method. It can only be created using an optimization algorithm.
