Using multi-temporal Landsat data and GIS technology to quantify changes in coastal mangroves is very important in terms of identifying drivers and providing scientific foundation for better mangrove management in Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. Vegetation indices, such as NDVI, SAVI, IPVI, DVI, SR, RVI is adopted as a suitable method to quantify and monitor the extents of mangrove this study.

In this study, the method based on the proposed deep-learning method called ODC-Cloud, which was built on convolutional blocks and integrating with the Open Data Cube (ODC) platform. The results showed that our proposed model achieved an overall 90% accuracy in detecting cloud in Landsat 8 OLI imagery and successfully integrated with the ODC to perform multi-scale and multi-temporal analysis.

The erosion – deposition of shoreline is not only a natural phenomenon, but also influenced by human activities. In recent decades, these changes occur more frequently with changes in the shape of shoreline, the changes in area of coastal mangroves as well as loss of productive land. In the trend of sea level rise, a study on changes of estuaries is necessary, in order to preserve and develop the mangroves, disposition, production planning infrastructure and civil works, etc.
