This paper proposes a new configuration of the switched-capacitor multilevel inverter (SCMI). The proposed switched-capacitor nine-level inverter configuration uses the capacitors to raise the output voltage level and boost output voltage. Based on switching the capacitors in series and in parallel through the semiconducting switches, the capacitors can be balance without using auxiliary circuit.

This paper presents a pulse-width modulation strategy for common mode voltage elimination in the three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) inverter with reduced common mode voltage spikes. The strategy utilizes the three zero common mode voltage vectors in the space vector diagram and is implemented by using a carrier-based pulse-width modulation (PWM) technique.

This paper presents a simple carrier based PWM technique to control a hybrid multilevel inverter. A conventional 3-level NPC inverter and 2-level inverter are connected in series to supply an open-end winding three phase load. Proposed PWM method is then verified in steady state and dynamic transient phenomena using MATLAB simulation program.

In this research, a new space vector modulation control algorithm is proposed to increase the reliability and the accuracy of the cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverters in case of faulty situations where one or several power cells do not function. When one or more switches of a cell are opened or shorted, that cell is considered faulty. By giving a detailed analysis on the impact of the faulty power cells on the voltage space vectors, the inapplicable voltage vectors are removed precisely.

This paper presents a new multilevel topology based on cascaded hybrid multi-level (HCS) inverter. There are different topologies for cascaded inverters for reducing the switches, power loss. The output voltage is increased and the number of switches is reduced with the HCS inverter. Due to this reduction in number of on-state switches, power loss and voltage drop is reduced. Simulation results for 11 level symmetric form of converter is described.
