The experiment was carried out on 72 healthy muscovy ducks starting at 28 days old to assess the effect of banana stems (Musa sapientum L) fermented with molasses, biochar and with or without vinasse on weight growth of muscovy duck (Cairina moschata). Four treatments and three replications made up a completely randomized design (CRD) of the experiment. Each batch is an experimental unit, each experimental unit consists of 6 muscovy ducks.

One experiment was conducted with 3 treatments and 5 repetitions in a completely randomized design. The treatments including TM1: NPK fertilizers; TM2: manure of ducks fed with silaged banana stem (BM); TM3: manure fed with banana stem, molasses and wort (BM-W). The objective was to evaluate the yield of water spinach when applying duck manure fed with banana stem, molasses and wort in replacing the use of NPK fertilizers.

Nghiên cứu nhân giống chuối sáp bằng phương pháp nuôi cấy mô nhằm cung cấp nguồn cây con ổn định di truyền và sạch bệnh cho sản xuất. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, môi trường thích hợp nhất cho giai đoạn tái sinh chồi chuối sáp là môi trường Murashige and Skoog (MS) có bổ sung 5 mg/L benzyl aminopurine (BA). Môi trường MS bổ sung 5 mg/L BA và 2 ml/L dịch thủy phân cá cho hiệu quả nhân chồi cao đạt 5,9 chồi/mẫu, chiều cao chồi đạt 3,3 cm và số lá trung bình 2,5 lá sau 35 ngày nuôi cấy.

The starch content and pectin content reached a maximum when the fruit was 14 weeks old and then gradually decreased. The tannin content decreased from fruit formation until fruit ripening. Through the research process, we found that banana achieves the best quality to harvest when fruits are 18 weeks old. The results of this study provide important data for the harvesting and storage of banana fruit.

Ethylene inhibitor compound 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), sanitizer chlorine dioxide (ClO2) and polyhexamethylene guanidine (PHMG) were studied to know the postharvest behavior and storage life of banana fruits (cultivar Yelakki), harvested at second stage of its ripening. Banana fruits were pretreated with the above chemicals either singly or in combination and stored in corrugated fiber board boxes at ambient condition. The 1-MCP treatment had delayed the colour change of peel as well as fruit softening and extended t h e shelf life by suppressing the respiration.
