Profiles A profile is a named set of the following password and resource limits: Password aging and expiration Password history Password complexity verification Account locking CPU time Input/output (I/O) operations Idle time Connect time Memory space (private SQL area for Shared Server only) Concurrent sessions After a profile has been created, the database administrator can assign it to each user. If resource limits are enabled, the Oracle server limits the database usage and resources to the defined profile of the user....

We introduce the notion of cotype of a metric space, and prove that for Banach spaces it coincides with the classical notion of Rademacher cotype. This yields a concrete version of Ribe’s theorem, settling a long standing open problem in the nonlinear theory of Banach spaces. We apply our results to several problems in metric geometry. Namely, we use metric cotype in the study of uniform and coarse embeddings, settling in particular the problem of classifying when Lp coarsely or uniformly embeds into Lq . We also prove a nonlinear analog of the Maurey-Pisier theorem, and use it to...

The kissing number problem asks for the maximal number k(n) of equal size nonoverlapping spheres in n-dimensional space that can touch another sphere of the same size. This problem in dimension three was the subject of a famous discussion between Isaac Newton and David Gregory in 1694. In three dimensions the problem was finally solved only in 1953 by Sch¨tte and van der u Waerden. In this paper we present a solution of a long-standing problem about the kissing number in four dimensions. Namely, the equality k(4) = 24 is proved. The proof is based on a modification of...

The Oppenheim conjecture, proved by Margulis [Mar1] (see also [Mar2]), asserts that for a nondegenerate indefinite irrational quadratic form Q in n ≥ 3 variables, the set Q(Zn ) is dense. In [EMM] (where we used the lower bounds established in [DM]) a quantitative version of the conjecture was established. Namely: Let ρ be a continuous positive function on the sphere {v ∈ Rn | v = 1}, and let Ω = {v ∈ Rn | v

For many classically chaotic systems it is believed that the quantum wave functions become uniformly distributed, that is the matrix elements of smooth observables tend to the phase space average of the observable. In this paper we study the fluctuations of the matrix elements for the desymmetrized quantum cat map. We present a conjecture for the distribution of the normalized matrix elements, namely that their distribution is that of a certain weighted sum of traces of independent matrices in SU(2).

Invariant measures for the geodesic flow on the unit tangent bundle of a negatively curved Riemannian manifold are a basic and well-studied subject. This paper continues an investigation into a 2-dimensional analog of this flow for a 3-manifold N . Namely, the article discusses 2-dimensional surfaces immersed into N whose product of principal curvature equals a constant k between 0 and 1, surfaces which are called k-surfaces.

Đề tài " The space of embedded minimal surfaces of fixed genus in a 3-manifold III; Planar domains "
Annals of Mathematics This paper is the third in a series where we describe the space of all embedded minimal surfaces of fixed genus in a fixed (but arbitrary) closed 3-manifold. In [CM3]–[CM5] we describe the case where the surfaces are topologically disks on any fixed small scale. Although the focus of this paper, general planar domains, is more in line with [CM6], we will prove a result here (namely, Corollary III.

Write your name, Centre number and candidate number in the spaces at the top of this page. Write these details on your answer sheets if they are not already printed. Answer all questions. Write your answers clearly on the separate answer sheets. Use a pencil. You may use the question paper for any rough work, but you must write your answers in pencil on the answer sheets. You will have no extra time for this, so you must finish in one and a half hours. At the end of the examination, you should hand in both the question paper and the answer sheets....

Members that contain executable code are collectively known as the function members of the class. The function members of a class are the methods, properties, indexers, operators, constructors, and destructors of the class. A class-declaration creates a new declaration space (§3.1), and the class-member-declarations immediately contained by the class-declaration introduce new members into this declaration space. The following rules apply to class-member-declarations: • • • Constructors and destructors must have the same name as the immediately enclosing class.

How DNS Works DNS Namespace • Hierarchical name space • Each node in tree represents domain/subdomain • Some subdomains are defined as zones • Each zone has a “primary” name server responsible for all lower nodes • Resource records (RR) are defined for each node • Example RRs are: Address (A), pointer (PTR), mail exchange (MX), name server (NS), start of authority (SOA)
