Although neuroendocrine tumors (NET) are classed as rare, they have a high prevalence and their incidence is increasing. Effective treatment with lutetium 17-[177Lu]Lu-oxodotreotide (Lutathera®) is possible in patients with well-differentiated NET, improving progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and quality of life (QoL).

An investigation of trends of incidence and net survival (NS) for endometrial cancer in Sweden. Methods Morphologically verified endometrial carcinoma diagnosed 1960 to 2014 were collected from the nationwide Swedish Cancer Registry. Endometrial cancer patients were assessed with regards to time trends for incidence and 54,825 cases remained for survival analyses.

Long-term oxygen therapy (LTOT) during 15 h/day or more prolongs survival in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and severe hypoxemia. No randomized controlled trial has evaluated the net effects (benefits or harms) from LTOT 24 h/day compared with 15 h/day or the effect in conditions other than COPD.

Information on the underlying cause of death of cancer patients is of interest because it can be used to estimate net survival. The population-based Geneva Cancer Registry is unique because registrars are able to review the official cause of death.

This study aimed to develop a nomogram that predicts the overall survival (OS) of rectal neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). Methods: We retrospectively analysed 310 patients with rectal neuroendocrine tumours in 5 hospitals in southern China. All of the patients were assigned to the training set.

Association between cancer survival and socioeconomic status has been reported in various countries but it has never been studied in Portugal. We aimed here to study the role of education and socioeconomic deprivation level on survival from colorectal cancer in the North Region of Portugal using a population-based cancer registry dataset.

The relative survival field has seen a lot of development in the last decade, resulting in many different and even opposing suggestions on how to approach the analysis. The choice of the method should be done in two steps: first, one should determine the measure of interest and second, one should choose among the methods that estimate that measure consistently.

We aimed to estimate the effects of smoking cessation on survival among people diagnosed with cancer. Methods: We used data from a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program that is part of a large urban safety-net hospital system. Eligible patients were diagnosed with primary invasive solid tumors between 2013 and 2015, and were current smokers at time of diagnosis.

We set out to estimate net survival trends for 10 common cancers in 279 cancer registry populations in 67 countries around the world, as part of the CONCORD-2 study. Net survival can be interpreted as the proportion of cancer patients who survive up to a given time, after eliminating the impact of mortality from other causes (background mortality).

An economic analysis of pecan nut plants has been presented through studying their cost and returns under intermediate agro-climatic conditions of Jammu and Kashmir. The study revealed that the total cost of grafting of pecan nut plants up-to their survival was same in all the three methods (₹ 20415.60). After different survival rate of three methods, tongue grafting gave maximum returns (₹ 5384.00) and minimum in side grafting (₹ 484.20).

The objective of this work was to establish the quantitative relationship between Lanreotide Autogel® (LAN) on serum chromogranin A (CgA) and progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with nonfunctioning gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) through an integrated pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) model. In CLARINET, a phase III, randomized, doubleblind, placebo-controlled study, 204 patients received deep subcutaneous injections of LAN 120 mg (n = 101) or placebo (n = 103) every 4 weeks for 96 weeks.

This study was conducted to study the effect of stocking density on growth and survival of seabass, Lates calcarifer in floating net cages in closed bay, Bapatla, Andhra Pardesh, India. Triplicate groups of seabass with an average initial weight of 1.29±0.12 g were randomly stocked in floating net cages (1m×1m×2m) at 20, 40, 60 and 80 fish/m3designated as SD20, SD40, SD60 and SD80 respectively. Seabass in the cages were fed with 45% CP formulated diet at 10% of body weight twice daily. Sampling was done weekly.

Cactus (Opuntiaficus-indica), commonly known as prickly pear, belongs to the family Cactaceae. It has high water-use efficiency, drought tolerant, survive under erratic and low rainfall and highly useful in arid and semiarid environments, particularly during prolonged dry spells or failure of the monsoon. Cactus is considered as one of the important sources of food and fodder to cattle under arid condition.

Fly ash management would remain a great concern all over the world. Several studies indicated that there is an ample scope for safe utilization of fly ash as a soil ameliorant that may improve physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil and is a source of readily available plant micro and macro nutrient. With this concept, a pot culture experiment was carried out at the Horticulture Research Station, OUAT, Bhubaneswar, under naturally ventilated poly house condition during 2017 and 2018.
