Key reactions have been selected to compare JEFF-3.3 (CIELO 2) and IAEA CIELO (CIELO 1) evaluated nuclear data files for neutron induced reactions on 235U and 238U targets. IAEA CIELO evaluation uses reaction models to construct the evaluation prior, but strongly relied on differential data including all reaction cross sections fitted within the IAEA Neutron Standards project.

Integrated cross sections of the photo-neutron reactions induced on 197AU with 60 mev bremsstrahlung
Seven photo-neutron reactions 197Au(γ ,xn)197-xAu (with x = 1 – 7) produced by the bremsstrahlung end-point energy of 60 MeV were identified. In this work, we focus on the measurement of integrated cross sections. Experiments were carried out based on the activation method in combination with off-line gamma-ray spectrometric technique. The integrated cross section of the investigated reactions were determined relative to that of the monitoring reaction 197Au(γ, n)196Au. To validate the experimental results, theoretical predictions were also made using the computer code TALYS 1.9.

In a recent work, a new neutron spectrometer, namely Cylindrical Nested Neutron Spectrometer (CNNS). It works under the same principles as a Bonner Sphere Spectrometer (BSS), except that different amounts of moderator around a thermal neutron detector are configured by adding or removing cylindrical shells.

In this paper, nuclear data for cross sections of the 64Zn(n,2n)63Zn, 64Zn(n,3n)62Zn, 64Zn(n,p)64Cu, 66Zn(n,2n)65Zn, 66Zn(n,p)66Cu, 67Zn(n,p)67Cu, 68Zn(n,p)68Cu, and 68Zn(n,a) 65Ni reactions were studied for neutron energies up to 40 MeV. In the nuclear model calculations, TALYS 1.6, ALICE/ASH, and EMPIRE 3.2 codes were used. Furthermore, the nuclear data for the (n,2n) and (n,p) reaction channels were also calculated using various cross-section systematics at energies around 14e15 MeV.

Displacement cross-sections for an advanced assessment of radiation damage rates were obtained for a number of materials using the arc-dpa model at neutron incident energies from 105 eV to 10 GeV. Evaluated data files, CEM03 and ECIS codes, and an approximate approach were applied for the calculation of recoil energy distributions in neutron induced reactions.

We identified eight radionuclides 196Au, 195Au, 194Au, 193Au, 192Au, 191Au, 190Au, 189Au formed via the multiple photoneutron reactions 197Au(γ, kn) 197−kAu with 2.5 GeV bremsstrahlung. The yields of radionuclides that decay by emitting γ-ray were measured using high purity germanium (HPGe) detector coupled to a PC-based multichannel analyzer. In order to improve the accuracy of the experimental results the necessary corrections were made.

In order to improve the accuracy of the experimental results the necessary corrections were made. The present results are compared with similar literature data of the natSm(γ,xn)143m,gSm reactions measured at various photon energies and of the natSm(n,2n)143m,gSm reaction induced by 14 MeV neutrons in order to examine the effects of an excitation energy and an input angular momentum.

For the design of ADS (Accelerator Driven System), it is important to study neutron spectra and details of nuclear reactions induced by neutrons. Furthermore, neutron energy and angular distribution data are important for a correct simulation of the propagation of particles inside a spallation target and the geometrical distribution of the outgoing neutron flux.
