Nuclear data correlation

The study aimed to evaluate the influence of different correlations implemented in the program on the prediction of the maximum surface temperature of the fuel bundle in a reactivity insertion accident when the reactor is at 11 MW critically. The calculation results were compared with the reference data and simultaneously shown for comparision.

Helium is relevant in determining nuclear fuel behaviour. It affects the performance of nuclear fuel both in reactor and in storage conditions. Helium becomes important in reactor conditions when high burnups are targeted or MOX fuel is used, whereas for storage conditions it can represent a threat to the fuel rods integrity.

This paper presents a Bayesian approach based on integral experiments to create correlations which do not appear with differential data. Some quantities such as the fission cross section (s), neutron multiplicity (n¯p), neutron spectra (x), etc. are usually neither modeled together nor measured in coincidence, thus there is no correlation matrices in evaluated nuclear data libraries.

In this paper, a traditional adjoint method is used to propagate ND uncertainty on reactivity and reactivity coefficients and estimate correlations between different states of the core. We show that neglecting those correlations induces a loss of information in the final uncertainty.

A correlated sampling technique has been implemented to estimate the impact of cross section modifications on the neutron transport and in Monte Carlo simulations in one single calculation. This implementation has been coupled to a Total Monte Carlo approach which consists in propagating nuclear data uncertainties with random cross section files.

Two blind analyses for 241Pu(nth,f) isobaric fission yields have been conducted, one analysis using a mix of a Monte-Carlo and an analytical method, the other one relying only on analytical calculations. The calculations have been derived from the same analysis path and experimental data, obtained on the LOHENGRIN mass spectrometer at the Institut Laue-Langevin.

Random sampling methods are used for nuclear data (ND) uncertainty propagation, often in combination with the use of Monte Carlo codes (e.g., MCNP). One example is the Total Monte Carlo (TMC) method.

This paper presents a Bayesian approach based on integral experiments to create correlations between different isotopes which do not appear with differential data. A simple Bayesian set of equations is presented with random nuclear data, similarly to the usual methods applied with differential data.

In the present paper, firstly, we review our previous works on uncertainty quantification (UQ) of reactor physics parameters. This consists of (1) development of numerical tools based on the depletion perturbation theory (DPT), (2) linearity of reactor physics parameters to nuclear data, (3) UQ of decay heat and its reduction, and (4) correlation between decay heat and b-delayed neutrons emission.

Most recent evaluated nuclear data files exhibit excellent integral performance, as shown by the very good agreement between experimental and calculated keff values over a wide range of benchmark integral experiments.

A template for estimating uncertainties (unc.) of measured neutron-induced fission, (n,f), cross-sections (cs) is presented. This preliminary template not only lists all expected unc. sources but also supplies ranges of unc., estimates for correlations between unc. of the same and different experiments which can be used if the information is nonexistent.

The present research study was undertaken to study the Behavioural problems of tribal children attending Anganwadis. A sample of 180 children in the age range of 3-6 years who were attending Anganwadi centers in Adilabad district of Telangana were selected by purposive random sampling method. Ex-post facto research design was opted for the study. Preschool Behaviour questionnaire was used for study the children behavioural Problems. Frequencies and Percentages were used to analyze the data.

Today, most investigations of the plant metabolome tend to be based on either nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy or mass spectrometry (MS), with or without hyphenation with chromatography. Although less sensitive than MS, NMR provides a powerful complementary technique for the identification and quantification of metabolites in plant extracts.

After a brief introduction to the Poisson – Boltzmann equation acquired for the onecomponent-plasmas (OCP), we carry out a careful treatment of the numerical data concerning the radial distribution function given by the Monte Carlo and the Hyper Netted Chain simulations for this kind of plasmas; especially, the weakly correlated ones.

The secondary side of the HOTSG is divided into single-phase liquid region, nucleate boiling region, postdryout region, and singlephase vapor region. Different heat transfer correlations and pressure drop correlations are reviewed and applied. To benchmark the developed physical models and the computer code, H-OTSGs developed in Marine Reactor X and System-integrated Modular Advanced ReacTor are simulated by the code, and the results are compared with the design data.
