This paper presents the steady-state analysis results of the OECD/NEA and U.S. NRC PWR MOX/UO2 (MOX: Mixed Oxide) Core Transient Benchmark with the modern MCNP6 Monte Carlo code based on the up-to-date ENDF/B-VII.1 nuclear data library.

This paper presents the development and verification of a deterministic model using the SRAC code system for analysing the criticality and control rod worth of the Dalat Nuclear Research Reactor (DNRR). Numerical calculations were performed based on seven core configurations established experimentally during the startup period of the DNRR.

This paper focuses on activation of oxygen isotopes in water and decay of this activated isotopes, i.e. 16N, 17N and 19O. An analysis of activation of water in pressurized water reactors and in fusion reactors was performed. Different evaluated nuclear data libraries were used in activation calculations (ENDF/B-VIII.0, FENDL-3.1b, JEFF-3.2 and TENDL-2015).

A comparison between stochastic and deterministic depletion calculations based on a graphite-filled MOX fuel assembly configuration is presented in this paper. The infinite multiplication factors and isotope inventory changes as a function of burnup obtained by Monte Carlo method module SCALE/KENO and deterministic method module SCALE/NEWT are compared with those obtained by deterministic code HELIOS. The impact in calculation results by using different nuclear data library is also investigated.

A fast and efficient python library for interfacing with the Biological Magnetic Resonance Data Bank
The Biological Magnetic Resonance Data Bank (BMRB) is a public repository of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopic data of biological macromolecules. It is an important resource for many researchers using NMR to study structural, biophysical, and biochemical properties of biological macromolecules.

This paper presents a Bayesian approach based on integral experiments to create correlations which do not appear with differential data. Some quantities such as the fission cross section (s), neutron multiplicity (n¯p), neutron spectra (x), etc. are usually neither modeled together nor measured in coincidence, thus there is no correlation matrices in evaluated nuclear data libraries.

An uncertainty propagation methodology based on the Monte Carlo method is applied to PWR nuclear design analysis to assess the impact of nuclear data uncertainties. The importance of the nuclear data uncertainties for 235,238U, 239Pu, and the thermal scattering library for hydrogen in water is analyzed. This uncertainty analysis is compared with the design and acceptance criteria to assure the adequacy of bounding estimates in safety margins.

The results obtained with the ENDF/BVIII.0b4 library were compared against those calculated with ENDF/B-VI.8, ENDF/B-VII.0, and ENDF/BVII.1 libraries using the Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP(X)) code. All the MCNP(X) calculations of keff values with these four libraries were compared with the experimentally measured results, which are available in the International Critically Safety Benchmark Evaluation Project. The obtained results are discussed and analyzed in this paper.

This paper presents a feasibility study for producing the medical isotope 99mTc using the hazardous and currently wasted radioisotope 99Tc. This can be achieved with the nuclear resonance fluorescence (NRF) phenomenon, which has recently been made applicable due to high-intensity laser Compton scattering (LCS) photons. In this work, 21 NRF energy states of 99Tc have been identified as potential contributors to the photo-production of 99mTc and their NRF cross-sections are evaluated by using the single particle estimate model and the ENSDF data library.

Optimized Storage for Virtualized Environments. When EMC’s IT efficiency efforts began, the majority of online IT assets resided on high-end EMC Symmetrix storage arrays (tier-1), with the balance on modular EMC CLARiiON arrays (tier-2). To reduce costs and extend the life of the existing data centers, EMC expanded their tiered structure. More cost-effective, large-capacity drives within Symmetrix and CLARiiON storage arrays were introduced over time to create online storage tiers 3 and 4, and tier-5 CLARiiON Disk Library (CDL) capacity was added for disk-based backups.
