The study was conducted to determine the level of awareness, behavior and willingness to pay for reusable bags of students at Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration. We applied Contingent Valuation Method and conducted a survey of 370 students at Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration.

Manufactured dyes are notably troublesome chemical toxins. The industrial wastes of these dyes are exceedingly noxious to aerobic and aquatic life and can cause compounds that show carcinogenic, mutagenic, and neurotoxic effects. In this study, cadmium imidazolate frameworks were synthesized by a solvothermal method from cadmium acetate and 2-methylimidazole in an ethanol/methanol mixture.

Waste from Jackfruit has little economic value and often causes serious environmental problems. The conversion of jackfruit waste will help reduce waste treatment costs, provide a potential source of raw materials for the activated carbon (AC) and increase economic value. In this study, the ACs from the Jackfruit shell and pulp were synthesized by microwave assistance for removing organic dyes.

The research herein builds on the work of Rojek (2003) and further investigates the bioremediation of NOM wastes. The aim of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of selected white-rot fungi and yeast for the biodegradative removal of concentrated NOM from solution. The effectiveness of the white-rot fungus P. chrysosporium ATCC 34541 for the biological degradation of different batches of MIEXTM NOM concentrate and the effects of different characteristics of the NOM on the process and thus the resistance of the NOM to microbial removal were investigated.

The aim of this study is to enhance biogas production from the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) and garden waste (GW) via pretreatment and codigestion. In order to achieve the aims of the study, two objectives have been developed and are outlined below: To investigate an optimum co-digestion mixture of OFMSW with untreated and pretreated GW; to investigate the effectiveness of different pretreatments on the potential for biogas production from GW and to identify the relationship between certain changes in GW characteristics and enhanced yield.

This research was carried out to evaluate the effect of organic loading rate to the performance of anaerobic co-digestion digester treating organic fraction of food waste (FW) and sludge waste (SW) from wastewater treatment plant. A pilot study was conducted to assess the feasibility of composting of source separated organic matter of municipal solid waste (MSW) generated in low, middle and high income areas of Karachi city with a population over 14 million. Results of MSW analysis indicate the presence of high percentage of biodegradable organic matter (71-74%), acceptable moisture content (40-50%) and C/N ratio (38-40:1). On windrow composting, not only the volume of waste was reduced but also produced a crumbly earthy smelling soil-like, compost material.
