Rice is one of the most important food crops in the world and mainly cultivated in paddy feld by transplanting seedlings. However, increasing water scarcity due to climate change, labor cost for transplanting, and competition from urbanization is making this traditional method of rice production unsustainable in the long term.

In the present study collected twenty (20) direct sown paddy rhizosphere soil samples from four districts of Andhra Pradesh and recorded their geographical position of collected soil samples. From that thirty two (32) Zinc Solubilizing Bacteria (ZnSB) isolated by using zinc phosphate [Zn3(PO4)2] as a insoluble source of zinc in the trismineral salts media. Zinc solubilizing isolates coded based on their soil sample collected geographical position, recorded the morphological, cultural characteristics of ZnSB.

Agriculture plays an important role in rural development. Rice is the more popular staple food of more than 80 per cent of the world population. It contributes 42 per cent of the total food production in India. The present study is based on secondary time series data. The compound growth rates, instability and standard cost concepts were use for the present study. It concluded that the compound growth rates for area were positive for all most all the district of EVZ except Gondia. The growth rates of area were below one per cent indicates that paddy is the traditional crop in study area.

Brown spot caused by (Bipolaris oryzae) is a persistent disease of Paddy (Oryza sativa L.) and associated with reduction in economic yield in the areas under dry and semi dry climate, with the nutrient poor field. Part of the paddy area under cultivation is salt affected in India, having longer water stagnation capacity, though having deficiency of organic matter and other essential nutrient, where during monsoon season only paddy is grown.

A study was undertaken to investigate the effect of magnetic treatment on enzyme activation of paddy seed under laboratory and nursery conditions. A magnetic seed treater having aluminum container fitted with ten 250 gauss magnets on copper pipes in staggered fashion was used. The container could be rotated around the horizontal axis. The dry seeds were treated by putting the seeds in the container and rotated the container for different time periods (15 min without magnet (control) and 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 min with magnet).

Distribution pattern of segregants and heritability estimates in paddy (Oryza sativa L.) crop for 12 quantitative traits in two F2 populations derived from the cross AD 16019 x ADT43 and AD16019 x WGL 14377 was studied at TRRI, Aduthurai during 2016-18. Platykurtic symmetrical curve for the traits with positive skewness was registered for the traits 1000 grain weight and single plant yield.

Grain quality assessment of scented and non scented rice varieties under organic nutrient management
Global demand for organically grown foods is increasing and organic agriculture is growing fast in recent years. Organic farming encourages the reduction of agrochemicals and promotes soil conservation principles. Field experiment was conducted at Krishi Nagar, Research Farm, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur (MP) during kharif season 2018. Experiment was carried out using randomized complete block design involving twelve scented and non scented rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties with three replications. An improved scented varieties viz.
