Anthropometry is a part of physical anthropology, a science that allows the study of measurement methods on the human body and the use of mathematics to analyze the measured results in order to find patterns about human physical development. Measurement of the human body is one of the methods of assessing the general health and nutritional status of an individual or a population.

This study investigated the in vitro effects of ZnO NP and chemical UV filters commonly used sunscreens on the function of immortalised and primary skin cells. ZnO particulates (30 nm, 80 nm and 200 nm) were compared to the chemical UV filters: butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane (BMDBM) ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate (EHMC), ethylhexylsalicylate (EHS), homomenthylsalicylate (HMS) and 4-methylbenzylidenecamphor (MBC). Human epidermal keratinocytes (NHEK), epidermal melanocytes (NHEM), dermal fibroblasts (NHDF) and the immortalised keratinocyte HaCaT cell line were used in this study.

The primary aim of this research was to further develop the sensing and estimation module of the CHMS framework with an improved multimodal inference model of MWL as needed for the application in aerospace CPHS. Here the focus of this research was on the implementation of a multimodal inference model of MWL that would be developed and experimentally tested. This was done with the purpose of studying the viability of real‐time system adaptation in aerospace systems.

Here, we report on the inter-action of LPS with recombinant ENP using a variety of physical and biological techniques. In biological assays (Limulusamebocyte lysate and tumour necrosis factor-a induction in human mononuclear cells), ENP causes a strong reduction of the immunostimulatory ability of LPS in a dose-dependent manner.
