Pesticides (mainly herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides) are used to chemically combat certain plants, animals, or microorganisms perceived as harmful to agriculture. Due to the fundamental similarities in all living beings, it is challenging to target unwanted species without affecting others, including humans.

In spite of the labor scarcity, uniform population as well as adequate plant spacing cannot be possible in the field this also one of the factor for low productivity of finger millet. To rectify these problems mechanical transplanting is only the possible way to achieve maximum production and productivity (Vasudevan et al., 2014).

In Vietnam, lotus plants are widely grown and some parts of the lotus plant have been used in traditional folk medicine. This herb is easy to find, inexpensive, non-toxic and is appreciated by local residents. However, thus far in Vietnam, few in the population know that lotus leaf can be used to prevent and treat obesity. The present study was designed to evaluate the anti-obesity effects of lotus leaf in mice.

In the India, three to four cutting are possible, typical yield distribution is 30-35 percent in the first cutting, 35-40 percent in the second cutting and 20-25 percent in subsequent cutting. More consistently high quality forage is obtained by grazing, green chopping and ensiling early spring growth to stimulate recovery growth, fertilize with nitrogen immediately following the initial cutting (Smith et al., 2005).

An experiment was conducted to generate a broad genetic variability through induced mutation using physical and chemical mutagens. Three doses each of gamma rays (20, 40 and 60kR), ethyl methane sulphonate (0.2, 0.4 and 0.6%), nitrosoguanidine (0.005, 0.010, and 0.015%), maleic hydrazide (0.01, 0.02 and 0.03%) and their combinations were administered to the seed of two greengram varieties, Sujata and OBGG-52.

In order compute genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance expressed as per cent of mean, an investigation was carried out with 79 plants of F2 population of MFC-09-12 × PGCP-12 and 90 plants of F2population of MFC-08-14 × PL-3 in cowpea. Considerably high amount of variability was observed for the thirteen quantitative and qualitative characters under study.

A field experiment was conducted during Kharif season of 2016 at College of Agriculture, Gwalior with a view to assess the effect of crop geometry and fertility levels on growth and productivity of Clusterbean. Experiment was laid out as randomized block design(RBD) replicated thrice with 10 treatments. The study revealed that among different crop geometry treatments, reducing 25% plant population (by increased plant intra-row spacing) gave significantly higher values of all growth attributes viz., plant height and number of branches/plant; yield attributes viz.

In dense plant populations, individuals shade each other resulting in a low-light habitat that is enriched in far-red light. This light quality gradient decreases the efficiency of the photosynthetic light reaction as a result of imbalanced excitation of the two photosystems. Plants counteract such con-ditions by performing acclimation reactions.

It is estimated that approximately one-third of the world’s population are using groundwater for drinking purposes. Pollution of ground water due to industrial effluents is a major issue (Vasanthavigar et al., 2011). Poor groundwater quality brings negative impact to human health and plant growth. In developing countries like India, it is estimated that around 80% of all diseases are directly related to poor drinking water quality and unhygienic conditions (Olajire & Imeokparia, 2001; Vasanthavigar et al., 2011).
