The paper "Current situation of public services providing in production and consumption of potato in Bac Ninh province" reflects the current state of public service provision in production and consumption of the typical Potato value chain in Que Vo and Yen Phong districts, from which proposing solutions to improve public service delivery in production and consumption of the value chain of agricultural products Potatoes.

Nilgiris Cooperative Marketing Society was established during the year 1935 by the progressive farmer “Auri Gowder” who was keen in developing the society by getting the support of fellow farmers and the society has diversified its activities in the present scenario and capable of fetching a net profit to the tune of Rupees 234 lakhs per annum on an average. Though it deals with different hill vegetables, Potato found to dominate among the vegetable category and these vegetables are being distributed through the Society by way of auctioning the commodity by inviting the registered traders.

Nepalese hill agriculture is a subsistence type of farming system. Development of agriculture follows different trajectories as an outcome of both biophysical and cultural factors for production while culture determines the strategy and the extent of the technological inputs. The main objective of this study is to assess agricultural practice and calculate cost and benefit of crop production in the study area. This study is based on case study of Bhojpur VDC of Eastern hill of Nepal. Data were collected from household survey, key informant interview and field observation.
