This research proposes the dynamic stability improvement of a large-scale power system which consists of a conventional synchronous generator (SG)-based power plant integrated with a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind farm by using a generalized unified power-flow controller (GUPFC). The complete dynamic mathematical equations of the studied system are established in dq-axis reference frame under three-phase balanced conditions.

The content of this research paper presents the method to control Grid Side Converter (GSC) of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG)-based wind turbine (WT) for improving the stability of the generator. To present the power systems, a well-known power system with three Synchronous Generators (SGs) and nine buses that is widely used in many types of research is applied.

In this paper, the control problem is presented to suppress the residual vibration of the rod transport system of a nuclear power plant. The transport rods are needed to transport to the target position in minimum possible time. However, the rods have been observed that oscillating at the end of maneuver.

A novel control scheme for power converters of doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) wind turbine system has been proposed to mitigate the current oscillations due to grid voltage unbalance. With this proposed scheme, the current controller is designed in the synchronous reference frame and composed of a proportional integral (PI) controller and a repetitive controller. Thus, the proposed controller gives better performance of the DFIG wind turbine system, compared with the existing dual PI one.

With the development of power system interconnection, the low-frequency oscillation is becoming more and more prominent which may cause system separation and loss of energy to consumers. This paper presents an innovative robust control for power systems in which the operating conditions are changing continuously due to load changes. However, practical implementation of robust control can be fragile due to controller inaccuracies (tolerance of resistors used with operational amplifiers).

The inter-area oscillations in large interconnected power systems often have features of beings low-frequency, lightly damped, and affecting relatively more generating units located in multiple areas. They restrict the allowable power flow on tie - lines and may lead to unexpected contingencies if it is not to be in proper observation.

The rain forest takes an immense breath and then exhales, once every four or five years, as a major global weather pattern plays out, usually heralded by El Nin˜o–Southern Oscillation. While this powerful natural cycle has occurred for many millennia, it is during the past decade that both the climate of Earth and the people living on it have had an increasing influence on the weather pattern itself, with many biological consequences. In Southeast Asia, as also in most of the Neotropics, El Nin˜o accompanies one of the most exuberant outpourings of nature’s diversity.

Vibration absorption has been a very attractive way of removing oscillations from structures under steady harmonic excitations. There are many common engineering applications yielding such undesired oscillations. Helicopter rotor vibration, unbalanced rotating power shafts, bridges under constant speed traffic can be counted as examples.

Transmitter and Oscillator Systems A transmitter is an important subsystem in a wireless system. In any active wireless system, a signal will be generated and transmitted through an antenna. The signal’s generating system is called a transmitter. The specifications for a transmitter depend on the applications. For long-distance transmission, high power and low noise are important. For space or battery operating systems, high efficiency is essential. For communication systems, low noise and good stability are required....

Modern communication systems require radio frequency and microwave signals for the wireless transmission of information. These systems employ oscillators, mixers, ®lters, and ampli®ers to generate and process various kinds of signals. The transmitter communicates with the receiver via antennas placed on each side. Electrical noise associated with the systems and the channel affects the performance. A system designer needs to know about the channel characteristics and system noise in order to estimate the required power levels....
