The United States Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology sponsored the development of a “high-priority” list of drug-drug interactions (DDIs) to be used for clinical decision support. We assessed current adoption of this list and current alerting practice for these DDIs with regard to alert implementation (presence or absence of an alert) and display (alert appearance as interruptive or passive).

This study reviewed the latest information on the presence of PMMoV and human enteric viruses in water environments and in wastewater (water) treatment systems to evaluate the suitability of PMMoV as an indicator virus for water safety and quality. PMMoV was present in all types of waters (e.g., wastewater, surface water, groundwater, coastal water and drinking water) in greater prevalence than human enteric viruses.

The Institutional Review Board approved this retrospective study, with a waiver of informed consent from the patients. TB outbreaks occurred in 15 senior high schools and chest radiographs from 58 students with identical strains of TB were analyzed by restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis by two independent observers. Lesions of nodule(s), consolidation, or cavitation in the upper lung zones were classified as typical TB.

We propose the moving parabolic approximation (MPA) model to reconstruct an improved point-based surface implied by an unorganized point cloud, while also estimating the differential properties of the underlying surface. We present examples which show that our reconstructions of the surface, and estimates of normal and curvature information, are accurate for precise point clouds and robust in the presence of noise.
