Pressure injector systems

Based on the simulation results obtained, the authors analyzed and evaluated the results and made relevant conclusions about the influence of structural parameters on the quality of fuel injection in the Kubota D1703-M-DI Diesel engine, thereby providing suggestions for more suitable structural parameters. This is important in reducing fuel consumption, noise, and the content of pollutants in engine exhaust.

This paper adopts the directionality tool provided by the ImageJ package to determine the spray cone angle of a gas-turbine engine’s injector. An imaging experiment system has been developed in this study to image a spray of a practical gas-turbine injector under injection pressure conditions varying from 2 to 6 bars.

The injection pressure is very high, however, to increase power, reduce consumption and emission, further improvement is necessary. In this research, AVL - FIRE software was used to studying the effect of injectors to combustion chamber, the injection hole diameter related to: power, torque as well as exhaust gas on Diesel engine (Toyota Hiace 2KD-FTV).

This study is an extension of a novel technique to determine interwell connectivity in a reservoir based on fluctuations of bottom hole pressure of both injectors and producers in a waterflood system. The technique uses a constrained multivariate linear regression analysis to obtain information about permeability trends, channels, and barriers. Some of the advantages of this new technique are simplified one-step calculation of interwell connectivity coefficients, small number of data points and flexible testing plan.

An experimental rig along with a MATLAB script for examining mechanical diesel injection systems have been successfully developed in this work. The system is capable of extending further to include a high-speed camera for imaging spray breakup events occurring in the nearfield of injector exit. The system developed in this study allows to record hydraulics characteristics of a number of consecutive injection shots.
