Listeriosis was important bacterial disease public health significance affecting human as well as animals. Determination of the seroprevalance of antibodies to L. monocytogenes in cattle was attempted from the different organized cattle farm around the Nagpur region, Maharashtra India. Listeriolysin O is a haemolysin produced by the bacterium listeria monocytogenes for serological characterization. Present studies were targeted for serological detection of listeriolysin O in cattle serum. Serological prevalence in healthy animal was 4.

Studies conducted in HICs indicate a prevalence of 10-15% of perinatal mental disorders (11, 12). It has been suggested that rates of first onset and severe depression are three times higher in the postnatal period than in other periods of women's lives (13). More recently, Gavin et al. (14) confirmed those findings, suggesting that the rates are particularly high during the first trimester following childbirth.

Presence of epigenetic marks enables cells with the same genotype have potential to display different phenotypes and differentiate into many cell-types with different functions, and responses to environmental and intercellular signaling. For example, DNA methylation is essential for the process of imprinting. Imprinted genes are expressed from only one parental allele. This mono-allelic gene expression is directed by epigenetic marks established in the mammalian germ line and a single mutation, either genetic or epigenetic, can cause disease.

Role of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis in the etiology of amenorrhea. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion from the hypothalamus stimulates follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) secretion from the pituitary to induce ovarian folliculogenesis and steroidogenesis. Ovarian secretion of estradiol and progesterone controls the shedding of the endometrium, resulting in menses and, in combination with the inhibins, provides feedback regulation of the hypothalamus and pituitary to control secretion of FSH and LH.
