Combination therapy is the primary treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (u-HCC). The hepatic functional reserve is also critical in the treatment of HCC. In this study, u-HCC was treated with combined hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC), tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), and programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) inhibitors to analyze the therapeutic response, progression-free survival (PFS), and safety.

Many randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and network meta-analyses have demonstrated that the progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients can be improved through combination immunotherapy or monotherapies.

Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapies, which potentiate the body’s natural immune response against tumor cells, have shown immense promise in the treatment of various cancers. Currently, tumor mutational burden (TMB) and programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression are the primary biomarkers evaluated for clinical management of cancer patients across histologies.

Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) with antibodies inhibiting cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated protein-4 (CTLA-4) and programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) (or its ligand (PD-L1)) can stimulate immune responses against cancer and have revolutionized the treatment of tumors.

Mononeuritis multiplex is a rare autoimmune peripheral neuropathy that typically presents in the context of vasculitis, diabetes, infection, or as a paraneoplastic syndrome. Adverse immune-related neurological conditions have been increasingly reported with the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors against cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 and/or the programmed cell death protein 1/programmed death ligand-1 axis.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors, including PD-L1 (programmed death ligand-1) inhibitors have well documented anticancer therapeutic effects in most types of cancers but its use in the treatment of ovarian cancer is not yet proven. The aim of our study is to explore the predictive biomarkers in ovarian cancer and its association with the outcomes.

Biomarkers that can accurately predict the efcacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) against programmed death 1 (PD-1) ligand in cancer immunotherapy are urgently needed. We have previously reported a novel formula that predicts the response to treatment with second-line nivolumab with high sensitivity and specificity in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) previously treated with chemotherapy.

Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) has remained incurable in most patients. The expression of PD-L1 as a prognostic and predictive marker has not been fully evaluated in MCL. The current study aimed to determine PD-1/ PD-L1 expression in MCL specimens and its significance as an immune check point inhibitor.

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is recognized as the prevailing malignant and aggressive primary brain tumor, characterized by an exceedingly unfavorable prognosis. Cuproptosis, a recently identified form of programmed cell death, exhibits a strong association with cancer progression, therapeutic response, and prognostic outcomes.

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of serum iron levels in advanced gastric cancer (GC) patients treated with programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) inhibitors. We retrospectively reviewed 149 GC patients who were treated with PD-1 inhibitors at our center. Clinicopathological characteristics, laboratory data, and clinical outcomes were analyzed.

Previous study has shown that chemokine-like factor (CKLF)-like MARVEL transmembrane domaincontaining family member 4 (CMTM4) can bind and maintain programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression to promote tumor progression by alleviating the suppression of tumor-specific T cell activity, suggesting its potential role in tumor immunotherapy

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)-producing lung cancer induces severe inflammation and a high white blood cell (WBC) count and is associated with poor prognosis. A recent case of G-CSF-producing lung adenocarcinoma showed high expression of programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) and was treated with pembrolizumab as first-line therapy, which was extremely effective. We hypothesized that G-CSF-producing lung cancers are associated with high PD-L1 expression.

Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy, a new adoptive cell therapy, has been widely used to treat lymphoma patients. Immune checkpoint blockade may improve the cytotoxicity of CAR-T cells by reducing the failure of CAR-T cells and improving antitumor activity. It has shown promising efficacy.

Programmed death-1 (PD-1) and T cell immunoglobulin and mucin-domain-containing molecule 3(Tim3) may be used as the biomarkers for the therapy in patients with peritoneal neoplasms. In the current study, the differential percentages of peripheral PD-1 and Tim-3 are explored to investigate whether to associate with primary sites and pathological types of patients with peritoneal neoplasms or not.
