The essential oils were also tested for their antioxidant, anti-imflammatory, antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities. The HD essential oil sample showed inhibitory activity against 6/8 tested microorganisms, i.e., Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtillis, Candida albicans, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The MHD and EHD exhibited the inhibitory activity against three strains E. coli, A. niger and F. oxysporum. The UHD inhibited E. coli and F. oxysporum.

Around 200 different lipopeptides (LPs) have been identified to date, most of which are produced via Bacillus and Pseudomonas species. The clinical nature of the lipopeptide (LP) has led to a big surge in its research. They show antimicrobial and antitumor activities due to which mass-scale production and purification of LPs are beneficial. Response surface methodology (RSM) approach has emerged as an alternative in the field of computational biology for optimizing the reaction parameters using statistical models. In the present study, Pseudomonas sp.

The 7 new silver-NHC complexes were fully characterized by means of 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, and elemental analysis techniques. Using the agar dilution procedure recommended by the Laboratory and Clinical Standards Institute, the antimicrobial activities of all the silver-NHC complexes were studied against 2 gram-negative bacterial strains (Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli), 2 gram-positive bacterial strains (Enterococcus faecalis and Staphylococcus aureus), and 2 fungi (Candida tropicalis and Candida albicans).

A series of new tetrazolic azo dyes based on (thio)barbiturate and electron-rich aromatics were synthesized in excellent yield. The electron-donor and tetrazole ring moieties were linked by a p-phenylazo bridge and the structural characterizations were achieved by FT IR, 1 H and 13 C NMR, and UV-visible spectrometry. The antibacterial activity of the synthesized compounds was tested against gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial strains, namely Acinetobacter calcoaceticus (ATCC23055), Escherichia coli (ATCC2592), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC27853), and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC25923).

The present study is aimed on isolation of OxO enzyme from Pseudomonas strain under high salt stress. The OxO enzyme was produced in bulk under selected salt stress. It was partially purified by ammonium sulphate precipitation method, dialysis and ion-exchange chromatography. The OxO enzyme on enzymatic analysis showed potent activity concerning oxalic acid substrate. The microtiter plate analysis confirmed the ability of OxO enzyme purified from Pseudomonas strain in the diagnosis of oxalate-related disorders and in the future could be used to prepare the diagnostic biosensors

In Turkey, Tinocallis (Sappocallis) saltans (Nevsky) on Ulmus glabra Hudson was detected for the first time, and it was determined that it caused a considerable amount of damage. The study was conducted for the purpose of determining the usability of enthomopathogens in the control against it, while avoiding the negative effects of chemicals on the environment and human health. A total of 12 bacteria strains were tested for control efficacy and verified: Brevibacillus brevis (2), Bacillus thuringiensis (1), Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kenyae(2), Bacillus thuringiensis subsp.

A group of N−4 piperazinyl derivatives of norfloxacin was synthesized and identified by different spectroscopic techniques. The N−4 piperazinyl substituent in target compounds 2a–2k, 3a–3c, and 4a and 4b was designed to have different electronic, steric, and physicochemical properties. The antibacterial activity of the newly synthesized compounds was evaluated against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Staphylococcus aureus strains using norfloxacin as a reference. Results showed that most of the tested compounds had higher activity against E. coli and K.

The absolute configuration of compound 14 was found as SR in the solid state. Analytical and spectroscopic data of the phosphazenes were consistent with their suggested structures. Antimicrobial activities of the benzyl-pendant-armed cyclotriphosphazenes were scrutinized against G(+) and G(−) bacteria and yeast strains. The bacterium most affected by the synthesized compounds was Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Minimum inhibitory concentrations and minimal bacterial concentrations were in the range of 125–500 µM.

Pseudomonas putida is a Gram-negative, non-fermenting bacterium frequently encountered in various environmental niches. P. putida rarely causes disease in humans, though serious infections and outbreaks have been reported from time to time. Some have suggested that P. putida functions as an exchange platform for antibiotic resistance genes (ARG), and thus represents a serious concern in the spread of ARGs to more pathogenic organisms within a hospital.
