To explore the effects of a ‘Rebuilding Myself’ intervention on enhancing the adaptability of cancer patients to return to work. Methods A single-center, single-blind, randomized controlled trial design was used. Eligible patients who were receiving routine hospital treatment were recruited from the university-affiliated hospital in our city.

Through research on the gut microbiota (GM), increasing evidence has indicated that the GM is associated with esophageal cancer (ESCA). However, the specific cause-and-effect relationship remains unclear. In this study, Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was applied to investigate the causal relationship between the GM and ESCA, including its subtypes.

For chronic pain after thoracic surgery, optimal timing of its diagnosis and effective treatment remains unresolved, although several treatment options are currently available. We examined the efficacy and safety of mirogabalin, in combination with conventional pain therapy (nonsteroidal anti-infammatory drugs and/or acetaminophen), for treating peripheral neuropathic pain (NeP) after thoracic surgery.

Reproductive health service (RHS) helps for people to have a delighted and safe sex through their life journey. It enables especially for women to go safely through pregnancy and childbirth and provide couples with the best chance of having a healthy infant. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the significant determinants of RHS utilization among undergraduate regular class students in Assosa University by using advanced methodology.

Road traffic injuries are a major concern worldwide, with Thailand facing high accident mortality rates. Drunk driving is a key factor that requires countermeasures. Random breath testing (RBT) and mass media campaigns recommended by the World Health Organisation intend to deter such behaviour. This study aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of implementing RBT in combination with mass media campaigns in Thailand.

Observational studies and clinical validation have suggested a link between thyroid dysfunction and an elevated ovarian cancer (OC) risk. However, whether this association indicates a cause-and-effect relationship remains uncertain. We aimed to investigate the plausible causal impact of thyroid dysfunction on OC through a Mendelian randomization (MR) study.

Oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy (OIPN) in general and painful OIPN in particular is a debilitating late effect that severely affects cancer survivors’ quality of life and causes premature cessation of potentially lifesaving treatment. No preventive treatments and no effective treatment for chronic OIPN exist despite many attempts.

The paper "Limit and shakedown analysis of structures under random strength" present a method so called chance constrained programming, an effective method of stochastic programming, to solve shakedown analysis problem under random condition of strength. In this our investigation, the loading is deterministic, the strength are distributed as normal or lognormal variables.

This paper empirically examines Fintech’s impact on bank profitability, employing various estimation methods, including Pooled Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), Random Effect Model (REM), and Fixed Effect Model (FEM), along with tests for multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. Data from seventeen publicly listed commercial banks in Vietnam from 2017 to 2021 are analyzed. Findings indicate that specific Fintech indicators, such as technology application adoption and online banking services, positively influence commercial bank profitability.

Crime creates business uncertainties that can disturb, if not destroy, the already vulnerable business environment. Microfirms, due to their smallness, are more susceptible to the effects of crime as they lack the resources to invest in protection and endure its effects. Many empirical investigations on the subject matter have not yet produced a definite conclusion, thus, this study is imperative.
