This paper explored the effect of trust and perceived reciprocal benefit on students’ knowledge sharing via Facebook and on students’ academic performance and reputation. The research model was tested using 170 undergraduate students in Malaysia via structural equation modeling. The results show that trust and perceived reciprocal benefit are two strong predictors of knowledge sharing amongst students, which affects their academic performance and recognition.

A 10 x 10 diallel analysis in F1 generation excluding reciprocals in sponge gourd [Luffa cylindrica (Roem.) L.] was carried out to identify good combiners and best combinations along with its heterotic effect. The present investigation was conducted to understand the genetics of resistance to northern leaf blight in maize through six generation mean analysis in three crosses viz., PH234 X PH84K, PHM6M X PH17H and PHM6M X PHY0Z during kharif 2016-17. One field experiment was conducted in the winter season of the year 2016-2017 to determine the effects of agro-climatic factors on crop developmental rate (CDR) of grass pea (Lathyrus sativus L.). CDR of a phenological stage is simply the reciprocal of the duration of that particular stage. 9 diverse barley genotypes were selected and crossed in a diallel (without reciprocals) mating design to evaluate combining ability effects to identify promising crosses for 13 quantitative characters including yield and its components. Analysis of variance for diallel revealed highly significant differences for most of the traits investigated. Parent BH 393 has been excellent general combiner for majority of traits viz., days to 50 per cent heading, days to 75 per cent maturity.

Eight high yielding rice genotypes along with their twenty eight crosses which effected in a diallel fashion excluding reciprocals were subjected to combining ability which aimed at elucidating the genetic system underlying the inheritance of yield and quality traits. Combining ability effects were estimated for yield, yield components in a 8 × 8 diallel analysis excluding reciprocals. The variances for general combining ability (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) were highly significant indicating the presence of additive as well as non-additive gene effects in the traits studied. The relative magnitude of these variances indicated that additive gene effects were more prominent for all the characters. The tomato genotype Hawaii 7998 (P3)proved to be the best general combiner for yield and its component traits followed by 12-1 (P5) and BWR-5 (P6).

Transplanting is the major method of rice cultivation in India. Irrespective of the method of paddy crop establishment, weed is a major impediment to rice production through its ability to compete for resources and their impact on paddy crop yields. The cutting tool will make a reciprocation maximum motion of 6 cm perpendicular to the direction of transplanted crop rows. This gives an effective working width of 16 cm leaving 7 cm as root protective zone on either side of the weeded rows.
