The electronic states of FeSin −/0/+ (n = 1-2) clusters have been investigated with DFT, CASPT2, and DMRGCASPT2 methods. By using relatively large active spaces, the DMRG-CASPT2 method is found to provide highly accurate relative energies for the various relevant electronic states. Leading configurations, bond distances, harmonic vibrational frequencies, and relative energies for the low-lying states of the title clusters are reported.

We report a simple design of a water-based broadband metamaterial absorber in the terahertz region. The absorption performance of the designed absorber is simulated using numerical method. Due to the large frequency dispersive permittivity and high relative dielectric loss of water, the bandwidth of the proposed absorber can extend.

It is composed of a waveguide structure with slots in order to generate radiating beams in different directions. The objective of this study was to describe temporal variations in the diet and parasitological aspects in Liolaemus parvus. In order to examine the diet, we determined the volume, numerousness, and frequency of occurrence for each prey item and calculated the relative importance index. We removed nematodes from the stomach and estimated parasitic indicators. Liolaemus parvus presents an active searching mode.

Density functional theory with the BPW91 functional and def2-TZVP basis sets was used to investigate the geometric structures of VB5 −/0 clusters. By using the bee colony algorithm, 300 initial structures are created for the studied cluster. The geometry optimizations at the BPW91/def2-SVP level result in 18 low-lying isomers in quartet states for the anionic cluster. The results at the BPW91/def2-TZVP level show relative energies and vibrational frequencies for diff erent spin states of 7 isomers of the anionic clusters and 6 isomers of the neutral cluster.
