This research sought to uncover the circumstances in which stakeholder interaction around the various perspectives on problem gambling might lead to a socially responsible approach to the management of poker machine gambling in clubs. The study’s methodology adapted a learning history framework of participative action research, and recruited stakeholders to act as “co-researchers” in a transparent-research approach to the exploration of the research question.

The International Accounting Standards require entities to report useful and accurate information, enabling shareholders and others to make informed investment decisions. This research investigates the array of factors that influence the investment decision-making of shareholders in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). The research employed a mixed research methodology that combines quantitative and a qualitative analysis to obtain empirical data on the factors that impact on Thai shareholders investing in large asset-based industries in the SET.

"Doctoral thesis of Philosophy: Empirical analysis of stock return synchronicity comparison of developed and emerging markets" is divided into eight chapters. Chapter two contains a literature review and chapter three explains the methodology and the data used in the thesis. Chapters four, five and six use the three different synchronicity measures in an analysis of emerging and developed markets. A comparison between the three synchronicity measures is provided in chapter seven.

This thesis bridges a gap in extant research by examining key factors that play a role in behavioral grocery shopping routines following minor and major disruptions. The present research involves two interrelated investigations incorporating mixed methodologies (Cresswell, 2003). The primary research objectives of the present thesis are: To model how consumer routines are established and maintained over time (i.e., model of routinization); and to investigate the impact of no, minor, and major disruptions on routinized grocery shopping behavior.

The present thesis attempts to describe the Knowledge Management (KM) field in terms of its relevance to the Library & Information Science (LIS) professions. The methodology employed was a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches including administration of a web-based survey and the conduct of in-depth interviews targeted at LIS professionals. The results emerging from the research revealed very positive feedback from the LIS community in regard to attitudes towards KM.

The objective of this research is to explore the domestic transfer pricing practices of service organisations in Australia with the emphasis placed on examining whether, in internal transactions, the domestic transfer price had any influence on the value perceived by the internal buyer. Because the extant transfer pricing theories cannot explain the value perceived by the internal customer in internal exchange of goods and services, an exploratory research methodology is adopted and no assumptions are made about the relationship.

The thesis investigates the nature of this developmental process by employing a constructivistinterpretive research methodology and using qualitative research methods. The empirical data was drawn from group discussions and face-to-face interviews with two distinct cohorts of women. The first cohort comprised twenty-two participants, of which five were adolescent women aged fourteen to sixteen years. The thesis focused only on examining those women who were financially successful and not others.
